As far as admitting new partners they will tell you if it is bonus method or goodwill method…as far as the breakdown of your performance you don't get that if you pass so I am not sure…

I apologize if this question has already been answered in this forum but can someone tell me how to increase the speed of the Becker lectures? I have seen it mentioned a few times but can't find how to make it happen. Thanks in advance!

I am sitting for FAR on Saturday. I think I am ready. I have been doing the Wiley and Becker MCQs and scoring 95-100%. Yet, I am still worried that the questions on the actual exam will be much harder. I have downloaded all the AICPA released questions since 2007 and have scored no less than 95% on them. Seriously, these are the questions that were asked on the exam in the past? They are ridiculously easy! Can I expect some of the same on the actual exam this weekend? Any advice you can give is appreciated.

    @catlover

I'm also taking FAR saturday and I only used becker. Although, if I don't pass this time around I am thinking of purchasing wiley too for extra questions. How do you think the combo of the 2 reviews worked for you? Also, where did you download AICPA released questions?

    Hi Happen4reason,

I just did a Google search of “AICPA released questions FAR” and sometimes I put the year in there. The Becker lectures weren't very good at all. I supplemented with Yaeger Homestudy videos (not the Wiley book) and those were great! Cindy and Phil are awesome and they really taught me “how” to do the calculations. One thing to keep in mind is that you really need to understand the concepts and know how to do the calculations, not just memorize the answers. Even though I am doing the same MCQs over and over again, I do the calculation for every problem. I am still nervous about the simulations because I don't know what to expect!

catlovergirl – I have found the released questions to be really easy too. On the test, I've had a few comparable questions, but mostly much harder. Is this your first test?

    AUD 80
    REG 75
    FAR 50, 60, 70, 74, 83...DONE!!

    Megan,

Yes, this is my first test. What study materials did you use?

Becker for the first 4 attempts. I'm supplementing with Yaeger CRAM this time though since my Becker expired. I'd say though that a lot of the Becker questions (except for the newly AICPA released ones) are pretty comparable to the actual exam. You should do really well!

    BEC 52, 61, 74, 77
    AUD 80
    REG 75
    FAR 50, 60, 70, 74, 83...DONE!!

Thanks Megan! You got me worried for a minute there. I am planning to do the Becker final exams today or tomorrow. I am just finishing the MCQs… and I mean every MCQ in Becker. I was able to print them out and redo them on paper.

    @ Happen

You can find the newly released AICPA questions on the Becker website -> Student Resources -> Updates and Academic Support -> Pick whatever section you're taking. You don't have to have Becker to be able to access / download this.

Thanks! I am going to check that out.

Hey guys! I was hoping I can get a little help if you don't mind. So I took the Becker Final Exam 1, and I didn't do so well. I scored : 63%,70%, and 60% on the first three MC Testlets, and ended up doing a LOT worse on the Simulation Testlet, about 46% (By averaging the 7 simulations evenly)…

    So, two questions from this:

    1. My exam is in a week, should I be worried with these scores??

    2. Is there a certain way to score these Becker Final Exams (because they only give you percentages of everything)?

Thanks a lot guys, any advice would be awesome 🙂

    AUD Expires 06/30/15
    BEC Expires 06/30/14
    FAR Expires 12/31/14

@tigersingh..I think I may have gotten lucky…I passed FAR–never finished section 9. Concentrated heavily on the first 7 sections and lucked out…I felt the Becker MCQ's were much harder than the exam. I will say I previously held my series 7 so bonds were not difficult for me. I did terrible on the Becker final exams the first time I took them and passed the real thing with a 79–I hope you have a similar outcome. I would go over the Becker final exams and understand them–thats what I did and felt good at the exam. Good Luck. Im planning to take REG in November too!

How were you able to print the Becker questions?? I really would love to do that, but I could not figure a way. I am also taking my first exam on October 15th and I am really stressing out.

Thank you and best of luck to you on Saturday.
