yeah thats another reason, cause i took my intermediate class last fall and “capstone class” in the spring which is like a review for FAR and AUD, my teacher was really good and he is my favorite..taking him for advanced in fall and i would love to just walk in and tell him i past FAR

Wow! Much of the material is from advance financial (I would say roughly 40%) that class will be easy for you 🙂 Your professor will be proud! I think I took that class 2 years ago, my last semester was full of electives…not a smart move on my part

wazz up everyone.. need help with conceptual framework question. just started studying F1 conceptual framework.

Trade offs between the characteristics that makes information useful may be necessary or beneficial. Issuance of interim F/S is an example of a trade-off between?

a. relevance and reliability

b. reliability and periodicity

c. timeliness and materiality

d. understandability and timeliness

and @nosleep, you really think FAR is going to be 40% advanced class? i hope not, cuz he suggested that i wait until after advanced but i heard of ppl using becker and not having a gov't and nfp or advanced class. and also there are some people here who are out of school 5+ years so i would think that they don't remember much from an advanced class either

so first practice exam….

i got a 67% on first to test lets (20 correct) and a 70% on third (21 correct)–which is 61 out of 90 correct for a 67%

sims- 3 of them were above 70%, one was above 50%, 2 were above 30%, 1 was 0 (WTF =/) and research was 100%.

feedback would be much appreciated

Scoring 20% – was a huge puddle of tears in front of my 10 year old last night. She tried to give me suggestions for relieving anxiety before test taking. She also laid down the law and said I had to pass because she didn't want to go through this again 😉 That makes two of us.

@jstay, in my advance class, we learned: Foreign Currency transactions/Translations; Partnership formations, changes in members, and liquidations; EPS basic/diluted; Pensions; leases; and lastly, interim reporting! But not to the extent that it is in the CPA books…

@CPAhopeful -that makes two of us… as soon as i'm super confident in something it's like i've lsot everything on another topic. trying to get through everything again quickly but i know i won't be going in with as much confidence if i had knocked down all marked questions and taken all practice exams. i know the practice exams would really destroy my confidence so i'm debating taking them now…also not a REALLY smart move but i need to be positive going in! anxiety is a serious BIATCH.
