cee bought 130 worth of items and sold 65, therefore they sold 50%. however we aren't going to use the 65 because that includes the mark up. we would use the cost to bee (100). they so 50% of it so therefore they sold goods that should have cost them 50 and not 65. 91-50= 41

ok…that was a brain fart of a realization. think it'll still take looking at again for it to stick but thanks. i've had to move on.

i'm only on end of chapter 4 of final (final!) review – i.e. not letting a question get past i don't understand with only a few marked questions remaining.i will hopefully getthrough chap 5 tonight with 6, 7, practice exam tomorrow, 8, 9, practice exam monday, 10 and final killage of items tuesday with wed (i travel then) reserved for more drilling in on specific topics and reading notes/reviewing exams. exam isn't until 4PM on thursday so i have time for small stuff if i really need it but would prefer to reserve that for resting, a bit of reading and freeing up my mind and patience.

oh by the way… in becker to mark questions you just click marked at the top of the screen. you can also click on the book/lecture during any question and it takes you to the beginning of that section the question comes under.

Hi Nosleep! I went through all the videos/reading w/Roger. Then started doing MCQ and taking notes on what I was shaky on so I could drill down to really understanding those weak areas. Still doing that with 9 days left.

Best wishes for a successful study plan 🙂

    AUD 88 (expired), 80 retake
    FAR 64,69,67,73,67,73,73,73, August 3
    REG 75 (expired) September 7
    BEC 72, 77

    The adventure continues...

@nosleep – have you marked questions? those results aren't all that bad on your first attempt!

i wouldn't go through the book/lectures again but go through MCQ and write a cheat sheet (or 10) for those topics that suck for you. aim to get through that in 2 weeks giving you a full weak to review. i'm by no means an expert though. if it's your first exam you'll have to find your own groove.

    @CPA50 and @jpowell31

Thank you for your input, I will work on the MCQs/Simulations from now on! Thankfully I have jotted down the questions I got incorrect 🙂

This is my 1st test which is making me extra panicky….not enough time for doing whatever I plan to do in a day (over-planning?)

is anyone comfortable with the retail inventory method? it was in an appendix and brushed over a question or two but saw a note in one question saying, “make sure to memorize the retail inventory schedule”. WTF

@jstay Good luck! I started to study the last week of June, I feel like I am taking much longer than most people here are o.o…When did you start?

lol late may/early june. with FAR i knew i would not be able to do it all in 6 weeks like other people. I'm going into my senior year and have enough credits to sit so i figured why not take a stab at FAR (and hopefully knife that SOB, lol) so I'm not concerned with banging it all out in 6 weeks, i wanted to take my time learn the material. however longer period means more time to forget. so i think it really comes down to our review.

scored a 79% on deferred taxes..shoulda been hire due to stupid mistakes

That is good! I wish I had started while I was still taking classes so that some of the material would have still been in my brain lol I wasn't planning on taking it til October but I too feel that I will forget even more things if I postpone it.

I hate that chapter! along with Chapter 2 (Becker matching/Foreign currency) I am scoring the worst on those and from the reading I thought that Chpt 2 would breeze lol

Going to start round 2 for MCQs tomorrow, hopefully there is SOME progress!
