BEC- 80 (Will expire in Nov 11)

    AUD-80

    FAR- 74 – 2nd take on 7/28

    REG- 73 – 2nd take on 08/31

FAR – MCQ- Hard/Harder/Hardest SIMS- Was like killing fields.

Looks like in the new model, SIM’s are the key. The issue is there no enough study material available to practice.

Time allocation is a huge issue. I am sure many will run out by the time they get to SIM’s and panic (which happened to me).

Praying as hard as I can; can’t afford to keep taking it. My mind seems to be numbing.

Somebody should make a movie of the journey of a CPA candidate. It would definetly be suspensful watching the wait for the score. I would watch it. lol

@ Orleans Candidate: That's pretty funny….and not a bad idea.

@ Ridingthe wave: I agree. I got pelted with tons of word problems. My head was spinning after the 3rd testlet. SIMS was brutal. After the exam, I was just drained.

This is my last section to pass…I really hope that this is it. I want my life back already.

I took FAR on the last day of the second window this year and failed miserably. I am studying with Becker, understand the concepts, and have passed FAR before but lost credit. I used too much time on the MCQs and left only 45 minutes for the SIMs. Big mistake! It took forever to manipulate between the tabs within the SIMs. Long wait switching back and forth and when you split the screens etc. Also, the tabs are not related like they have been in the past. They are all separate issues. I also made the mistake of not looking at all the tabs before starting. I should have done that and completed the tabs I knew I would ace first. So, back to studying and hoping I can finish this last section so I don't lose my credit from REG in November.

cpatoday – You might want to edit your post for potential disclosure problems. I'm sorry it was tough for you though! I'm in the same boat! Mine was ridiculous! I lose AUD in November and REG in December. I'm not too worried about taking AUD again (I'm an auditor), but I do NOT want to take REG again.

Question for who took Far that had long sims:

Are they on one tab with multiple screens or most of them within one(long) Screens?

    Thanks!

Answer fg, my simulation is all in one screen, and i found the question is not too long and too difficult. I was wondering whether the questions are not in one screen, i am afraid i missed some questions. But you said that may be we are in the same situation.

    @fg

The SIMS are each on one page that you have to scroll down. Some are short enough to fit on one screen or just require a slight amount of scrolling. Others require a lot of scrolling.

    FAR 4/1/11 - 89
    AUD 4/15/11 - 85
    REG 4/29/11 - 80

    Thanks kb24 and llq1015!

I was wondering if I missed something when I read other posts about the “long sims”, with mine the info and inputs were all within one screen(most required scrolling), except one “long sim” with info provided in a 2nd screen.

fg, I had a similar experience. Most of my sims were on one tab, some longer some shorter. However, one did have an additional tab with more information. While I did not notice it at first, I immediately knew something was missing because I could not have completed that task without the additional information.

Planning to purchase my FAR online test bank on monday or tuesday to start studying. I already have the NINja notes and flashcards. I cant afford to purchase any other material at this time apart from the testbank, ninja notes and flashcards for FAR. Is this enough material to study for FAR??? Grateful for any feedback ???
