NYCaccountantParticipantI noticed this.
PCAOB refers to a public company standards.
I'm guessing the AU refers to Audits of a non public company, under the GAAS
AT is maybe attest?
Not sure what CT is though?
I know they have something for QC, which is quality control.
You can tell which one to choose by the information provided. If they describe the company as public, I'm picking the PCAOB, if private i'm picking the AU.

I understand the flow and segregation of duties and I can draw the flowchart from memory…
Still 80% of questions on that topic I can narrow down to 2 or even 3 answers which could be posible

JamesBJamesParticipantI'm with you on that, @funtiks. I got through the huge two hour lecture of fun yesterday… which took me closer to five hours since I stopped the video whenever I needed to type out stuff or digest the information. I like the new guy's style, though. He and Olinto are OK in my book.
This transaction cycle jargon is what I always had issues with in college. I would either be unsure whether we were testing for completion or existence, or I would correctly identify the right assertion and test it backwards. It's tricky.
I think I'm getting a little better at it, at least. The house analogy Becker keeps referring to helps a lot, and I've been trying to tackle questions systemically. Something like, “Is the risk with management overstating assets / revenue or understating liabilities / expenses?” -> “Do we need to vouch down or trace up?” -> “So what assertion is management making?” -> “What's the proper way to test that assertion?” That usually narrows it down pretty well.
Gotta do those 109 questions, the other audit procedures lecture / HW, and the evaluating audit findings lecture / HW today. This is going to be rough.
Best of luck with it, @funtiks. I think this is just going to be a section we'll have to go over a couple of times to really understand how things fall into place.

For $47 dollars it's insane value. I'm looking at these test and I want to just be done. So spend a few extra bucks now because every little bit helps.

oblioMemberMy suggestions after taking exam (without ethic violations;))
50 minutes per testlet. 40 – 45 min. for the first testlet if you can. The first testlet is definitely medium difficulty, so it's definitely not going to get any easier than the first testlet. And a few saved minutes on the first testlet can go towards a bathroom break which you will probably need later. Which will leave you…
90 minutes for Sims! Spend 2 min. reading the intro to each Sim and put them in order easiest to most difficult. Get a general idea of how long the sim is and take note. Allow 12 min. for the shorter ones and 15 min. for the longer ones. Use the authoritative lit. in the Sims! With a well timed test you will have a couple precious minutes or so to find a couple answers in the AL.
Everyone is different but I believe using the above strategy has helped me. Then again I won't know for sure till score release. Good luck!

AnonymousInactiveTest at 8am in the morning.
Spending my last study night going over Ninja Notes, audit reports, and test of details.
Found out my tennis match is at 11:30am that same morning. I got an extension from my captain, if needed, to a noon start time, but I realistically only have about 3 – 3 1/2 hours to take the exam. If this were FAR or REG, I'd have just cancelled my match, but I am an AUD MCQ beast at this point. I finished my Wiley textbook practice exam in just over an hour a couple weeks ago with a decent score. Still…..I am (and like) living on the edge!

NYCaccountantParticipantOk, doing better on the Ninja MCQ's. I need to supplement Wiley with Government, or maybe government is covered later in the book. I need to also brush up on internal auditors and how they affect the external auditors, which I have not gotten to you yet in the Wiley book. 3 MCQ banks, Wiley, Ninja, and CPAreviewforfree should be able to do the trick.
