jeffKeymasterJust because they say May 7 – doesn't mean it will be May 7.
They did the same thing in Q1.

AnonymousInactiveBecker final exams are harder than the actual exam. I believe most people have said you'll get 10+ higher on the actual exam compared to Becker!
You still have a week to go. Go over your weak areas (do progress test in Becker) and then go over the final exam again!! Try to get 75% or higher before the exam day!

wickedrentloverMember@keri641–In the “study roadmap,” you should have several tasks that Becker says you need to do: Farthest to the left, there's “View Lecture.” In the middle column, there's “Complete Homework” and “Complete Simulations.” In the right-most column, there's “Review Flashcards” and “Take Comprehensive Progress Test.” It's just a compilation of various MCQs from each section you should have reviewed up to that point. The number of the questions in the progress test increases with each section completed. In the final review section (where you re-do the hw and sims, take final exams, and complete as many comprehensive progress tests as possible) the number of MCQs per progress test is 100.

nctxms87MemberFirst time posting…never really knew about the site but figured I'd give it a shot. Here we go…I have not really had an issue with the first three test, but I never felt totally prepared for any of them. I also didn't feel that great when I left the testing center. Now, I'm studying for FAR and I feel like I have met my match. There is way more material than the other three sections and I am on Chapter 5. My test is on May 25th which gives me plenty of time to finish given my current speed. I should also have about two weeks for review. The issue is I'm only on Chapter 5 and catch myself thinking about topics in prior chapters and not being able to remember anything. What happens when I get through 9 and have 8 chapters of stuff I'm shaky on!? Is two weeks enough time to go back through it all and refresh? Is it too much time? Any words of encouragement, prior study techniques, or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

AnonymousInactivenctxms87-wow, you're almost done!!! It's all down hill from here.
Two weeks. That's kind of pushing it. Just make it through the videos and take intensive notes! Nail all the videos as fast as you can and then go and rewrite your notes. I'd say three weeks may be better for your review depending on how well you can understand bonds, leases, installment method, and the construction accounting (2 methods). Also government, consolidations and not for profit will be big ones.
Take notes while you're doing the MCQ's for those little “fact nuggets” that Jeff likes to call them. Do one question, read the answer (whether you got them right or wrong). The last few days, just read every page once in your book to review and keep hitting the MCQ's until you're sick of them, then do more.
Use other websites to learn more about what you don't understand. I used https://www.accountingcoach.com for fun crossword games to learn more about Bonds. It'll also walk you step by step for Cash Flows statement.
Listen to Jeff's radio blog for inspiration and just to relax and get more ideas. His voice calmed me down quite a bit when I was in rough spots.

AnonymousInactivei just took FAR for the second time. i can say there is no any repeated question. all were new the 1st testlet was easy, the 2nd one was so very difficult and the 3rd one was medium. The SIM.i've to take an extra oxygen to speak about it. it was so tough!. This time thank God i saved 1hr and 45min for SIM and able to fill everything though i know that my answers were not correct for some of them. I expected some questions from my previous exam, unfortunately, i didnot get a single one. Above all one of the SIM was beyond my expectation, the WILEY review material doesnot have SIM exercise on that topic. so i didnot do any practice at all on it but just tried my best. For the rest of SIMS and MCQ, i think Wiley prepared me very well though i cannot be confident enough on the exam. last time, i didnot give attention for SIMS and did thousands of MCQ, then i ended up with weaker point on exam while earning stronger status on MCQ and scored 68. now i'm waiting the result with finger crossed. Goodluck everyone!

julie84ParticipantI am taking FAR for second time in May 5th. I can't focus on studying as I'm tired after work and put my 2 year old to sleep by 10. I am soo close to giving up.

whonis2002ParticipantJulie84 please don't give up and come up with a study plan. Its not the long hours you should be looking for but how much you understand and how you can use you time wisely when doing the multiple choice questions. I did 2 hours everday and only rested on Sundays. My time was mainly at night after getting a short rest in the evenings after the kids had gone to bed. Try it out after you put your little one in bed get at least 2 hours of rest and then dedicate 2 hours to studying. It won't be easy the first week but once you get into the grove of things it becomes easy to maintain that schedule. That's my 2 cents hope it helps.
