katieshmadyMemberMinaRick – that's amazing congrats! Do you have any pointers for the rest of us? This is my last section and is definately my weak point (hence why I left it for last). I just found out that I failed the first time I took it and want to retake it the first week of April… 4 weeks away! What did you do to nail it so quickly?

yankeeaccountantParticipantDang it!! Sooooo close. Seeing that you ran out of time, I am sure you will defeat FAR on your next swipe! How is Audit going? I still stand by my comments about Audit being Evil. Hardest one for me. Keep it up…..I will be around stalking!!!
Take Care.

good to see you're still around… yea, i ran out of time on far and they did me by 3 points lol… i scored comparable on the sims and i didnt do 3 of them!!!! i tripped out when i saw it.
i just started again studying for aud yesterday, i did two practice exams, only mcq's and got 88 and 90…. i guess i remember some of the material still =) i know my weak points and i'm not letting anything slip between the cracks this time at all on either exam… i didnt have enough time to prepare for far this past time, thats why i ran out of time, i took way too long on the calculations on the mcq's and that killed it in the end… i must say, the sims were quite complex and lengthy.

AnonymousInactive@hopeful-cpa…next time give yourself 1.5 hr to SIMS. I mainly gave my passing score on FAR to my time management during the test. For FAR, I told myself, not matter what happened I am going to give myself 1.5 hrs for SIMS. I had a difficult second-testlet, and I screwed up on many of those and got an easy third testlet. I am sure I did NOT get the reasearch right and totally did not understand one question due to the way I was asked. However, I managed not to leave any blank on the any questions. I figured the computer (grading) is dumb, and each blank is somehow independent to each other unless there are J/E involved…so I just filled in whatever I could, for the one I think it should be blank I still put in “0”. Guess it works! I got a 76! good luck next time!

yea… i was going for that also, but i got so fixated on the calculations that i couldnt move on from it, it was like a bug inside me that had to figure it out lol i guess that bug messed me up… yea god willing next time around i'll be better prepared, i pretty much had one a full week of studying, and i didnt even get through the practice questions more than once for a lot of the material… i'm not going to let it go the same way again next time… unfortunately there is a next time, but it will get done sooner than later… i hope =/

AnonymousInactive@hopeful-cpa. I know what you meant on “that bug”. On couple calculation questions, I was like I know this, then my calculated result doesn't match any one of those!!! I was like “What?” I re-read the question and was thinking “maybe have to calculate another way.” then my result still doesn't match…it's very annoying that you know you are THAT close to the right answer…I remember I had to mark 7 questions in a row on my second testlet and didn't have time to go back to check…4 hours are simply not enough!
