Sonia — I am in a similar situation to you i took FAR yesterday and i also have FAR and AUD remaining … Maybe you are not aware but now you can not test for FAR until April because you took FAR for this window already and March is a month off. My plans are I'm going to study for Auditing and give the exam first week of April but at least once a week i will review my notes on FAR so it stays somewhat fresh in my mind until i get the results. For some reason if i failed FAR i would began studying full time immediately after auditing and take the exam end of May which will give me 5 weeks to study after AUD. I hope this makes sense to you … good luck!

You cannot take FAR two times in the same window. In any case you have to wait till April if you have to retake. So I would just continue studying Audit and take the test.

ahhh I am not sure how i forgot that I can't test for it twice in same window! I blame it on my pregnancy hormones =/ Thanks for the reminder guys!. Audit it is..sucks tho because all the FAR info is so fresh in my mind. I am afraid I'll forget it by april plus it's hard to study during tax season because it's so busy st work =/ and We are expecting baby in May so taking an exam during april/may window might be tough but let's see. I'll take IamBlessed's advice and try to review my notes atleast once a week for FAR. Thanks again!

Alright, finished all the lectures and mcqs. Game plan is integrate my ninja notes with notes from becker/passkeys/notecards and take short quiz on each chapter after the notes. Then progress tests alll Monday and Tuesday….here we go…

    B 71 - 79 EXPIRED
    A 69 - 75 EXPIRED
    R 65 - 48 - 45
    F 56 - 61 - 65 - 64

Becker, Wiley Test Bank, Wiley Text and Ninja Notes

"The fish who keeps on swimming is the first to chill upstream" -311

Experience - Done, like WAAAY done.
Still need 30 more credits, in basket weaving (gotta love new CA requirements)

Update: Oh crap, I took a lot of notes. I'm having a hard time deciphering what needs to be in my rewrite. Can anyone shed light on this? Should I just reread the notes and do mcq until I drop? Or do you find the rewrites as beneficial as Jeff says?

    B 71 - 79 EXPIRED

I'm doing a final review now and I'm using Becker. I review each chapter and rework the questions that I've marked and the ones that I've answered incorrectly- don't bother wasting time on the info you know. I also wrote notes in the notes page for each chpt. of Becker and delete the ones I know and I've got Jeff's ninja notes and I copy his notes in the areas that are difficult for me. My test is on the 26th and if I pass I'm done!!!!

Thanks for the advice and I am very jealous of you being so close to finished. One day I will be there *gazes off into distance dreaming…*

Alright, got my FAR experience in yesterday. I'm not really sure how exactly to decipher how hard the testlets were, but I always pictured easy being all straightforward conceptual questions – which none of mine were! The second was the same if not harder than the first and the third was medium/easy. I feel like I probably knew half the stuff and guessed on the other half. But, the good news was it wasn't overwhelming or mind blowing. I did notice that I was only tested on maybe three topics. I flagged all the computational problems and came back to them but never felt I did them exactly right.

I'm not like most of accountants I know, or peers I had in my classes. I was typically a B-C student and have never been a strong test taker. But I notice a lot of my peers would get ridiculously stressed out before and after a test. I have always had a whatever happens, will happen attitude.

The SIMS were, eh.. Got 7 in total – two I was strong on and one I had no idea, the rest I think I got some partial credit.

I thought I would be short on time and went into the sims with a little over 2 hours, and finished 30 mins early. Was glad to have that time to utilize the research tab.

Hope I passed! Going to check my score after I take AUD on the 28th of Feb!

Sounds like a good experience, Hustlin2. Good luck with that whole waiting to check your score thing! Wish I had that kind of discipline!

    FAR - 90
    REG - 85
    BEC - 88

What's up everybody? I found this sweet forum while taking a break from studying for FAR. I've got it next week so I've been grinding away – at least it seems like it. Good luck to you all…

I took the test yesterday and from reading everyone's posts I think we all get different exams! The MC were not difficult but the SIMS blew me out of the water! The reseach tab was a piece of cake but I used my free access to the codification so I knew exactly where to go and it took me less than 2 minutes to find it- I hope that counts for 1/7 of my FAR grade even then I don't think I passed- oh well…I'll take it again in April. Good luck to everyone!!!!

Just took FAR today. I feel okay about the multiple choice, I am definitely kicking myself about a couple answers that I changed after thinking about it too much, should have just let them be…and I even went into it thinking to just go with my gut. Hopefully that won't set me back too much…I think my testlets got a little harder, but I can never really tell so who knows. My sims were not too bad. I took FAR in November and missed it by a few points and remember that the sims definitely killed me, this time they were a little more manageable. With this test though I never know, it could go either way…just praying for a 75 so I can be done for good!! If I don't pass this one then I lose credit for REG…..which would suck big time…now the waiting game begins…

    Just got out…..

The simulations were the end of me =( I was feeling so good around testlet 2, testlet 3 was rough but not the worst I've seen. The SIMS were a nightmare, honestly discouraging, I barely got the codification question right, and I'd be lucky if I managed to get 1 other one half right. Demoralized. I wish I studied better.

    REG: 85
    AUD: 74, 85
    FAR: 74 (sigh)
BEC: 80 (don't even ask me how)

When I say C-P you say 'Ayyyyy show me the money'
