    FAR has 3 testlets with 30 mcqs each. This is 60% of the exam. 7 task-based simulations that are 40% of the exam. I think the sims are supposed to include one research questions. There may be people who didn't have a research question, there may be people who got more than one…but I think it's supposed to include one.

    the last day of Feb. LOL. I haven't studied yet as I am waiting my Becker material to come next week. :-). Are you taking FAR as period as me too?

    I passed FAR last April 🙂

    I don't know why I asked when you're taking it – I should've just checked your signature…guess it's a sign I should go to sleep…

    I don't know how much actual time you plan on giving it, but 2 months should really be enough for studying FAR…

    I had trouble with the research too on the simulations. heck, I have trouble with the simulations period. For the research, I just kept doing practice ones. This will help figure out how the search function works and get an idea of what they are exactly looking for, as some of the questions are vague. Sorry I don't have much else…

    Try going to the AICPA website, they have a video on the research stuff:

    What study material are you using? Becker has the simulation section where they give you Research Question examples where you can use the search engine to find it.

    I'm finishing up F3 and I don't understand how anyone has ever passed FAR. I could be tested on these first three chapters and probably fail. After studying for all of the other sections, I can say without a doubt that FAR has been the hardest going for me. I thought REG had a ton of little details but jeez, FAR has blown that thought out of the water.
