Hi everyone, I am using Jeff's ninja notes (along with yaeger/wiley) and noticed that Jeff's notes do not include completed contract/percentage of completion methods. Does that indicate that this is not often tested?

momof4, I had the same concerns about sims because wiley's grading algorithm is very specific. Unfortunately, we'll never know… best of luck on your results!

    Back to F1 today…..gggrrrrr

I have/want to go over all the lectures before 12/23 as I am going to be out of town from 12/23-1/1. During that week, I am planning on re-writing my notes at least two times. I am not taking the computer with me as I am going to be in multiple places those days.

Has anyone used the Wiley test bank apps on your iPhone?

    Done 😉

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forums here and have just taken FAR for the second time yesterday (61 on my first attempt). Is there a method to the madness behind this exam? Last time i got tested hard on only few concepts, so eatrunCPA , yes this is important. the other subject matter is such a small percentage of the range of possibilites?

I'm so frustrated with this exam!! I graduated with a 3.7 in accounting and have never failed a test, atlest not one that i can rememer being of any signifigance to me and yet this test, pardon my french, but whoops my ass everytime!! I've used Wiley to study and also used Jeff's Ninja notes, a last minute purchase to tackle this test. Have alot of ppl had success without taking one of the big review courses??I'v spent about 2-3 months each time sutdying for this..

@EJ – Welcome to the boards. Just a reminder that we are not allowed to disclose what was on our exam. I edited some of your post above to remove the disclosures. Good luck on the exams!

Thank you both for the clarification. I am comfortable with the topic, but will brush up on the J/E as well. So much to keep straight.

We will make it out alive on the other side. Even if it doesn't always feel that way.

Ya opps I do remember clicking the box that i won't disclose any info. Hope they dont find me lol.

Anyway besides the select few subject matter that is consitent throughout the different exams the other material making up the exams seems to be completely at random, but yet consitently tested in that particular exam. as if they take a microscope to a few elements of a chapter and drill me on it, and yet all the other concepts I studied went untested.

It almost seems as if I would have to get lucky in order to get an exam that I felt completely comfortable with.

@Minimorty – How did you pass all your sections in such a short window? first attempts/study material? do you work? sry for all the questions but it just blows my mind that that is even feasible (guideline for cap. of software also). b/c i spent so much time and i almost feel as if all the stress between work, studying, and relationships will inevtiabely break me lol.

@EJ – Fortunately, I had a smooth journey through the CPA exam. There are others though who have passed all four in one window. Pretty impressive. I used Becker and thought it was great. I supplemented with the Wiley test bank and Jeff's NINJA notes. It helped to work the additional multiple choice questions and Jeff's NINJA notes were a great review the week before the exam. I work full time and have a wife, a toddler, and an infant. I refused to do any studying while the kids were awake though. I would study for a little while at lunch and then get about 2 hours in each night after they went to sleep. The exams are tough but I thought they were fair. Good luck through the process.

@CPAgirl – Yes, questions like that do appear on the exam. However, I felt exactly the way you felt. I probably only did half of the multiple choice questions in F8 and F9. I think I kinda paid for it a little bit on the exam. I was stronger in all multiple choice areas except those two sections, in which I was comparable. If you are really strong on the other topics, you can probably get a way with not being strong in government/NFP, but its a little bit risky. It would probably be better to keep working your way through those questions.

@Minimorty Thanks for the tips, and a tip of the hat to you for a job very well done. I still think there is a good chance I passed but just needed to vent a little. Hope to be posting my passing grade in a few weeks!
