    @Peanut – you never know if you had passed since the third testlet was harder…never know. I will keep my fingers crossed for you! Are you taking BEC this window like your signature shows?

    You're reading Peanut's post incorrectly. The first time she took FAR she got a 67. She had the retake on Oct.31 and thinks she failed, she'll get her grade in a few weeks.

    @Meghan

    I kind of feel the same way. I believe my testlets were medium, hard, medium. I feel like I did well on the medium testlets, but not very well on the hard testlets. I am not sure if that is a good sign. Some questions on my last testlet were really easy (yikes!).

    Regarding the SIMs, they weren't too bad. I felt ok about 6 of them (Maybe got 75%+ correct) and one I had no idea what to even do. I am not sure if this is enough to pass or not. Any thoughts? My SIMs in August were brutal compared to what I got in November.

    I received a 73 in May and a 74 in August for FAR, so I am really hoping that this is it for me. I have passed the other 3 parts.

    Good luck.

    @Peanut- great posts.

    Ohhhhh I got it 🙂

    I'm taking FAR in less than 3 weeks, I am in no way ready for it (is anyone ever REALLY ready?). I just finished going through the Becker book, now off to practice Wiley problems….

    I'm sure there are many posts about FAR advice, but since I should be “studying” right now, and not browsing through posts, I'd like to ask if anyone can give me some advice? I finished the Becker chapters but honestly, still don't know jack. I usually learn from answering questions anyway (usually incorrectly lol)… also will go through NINJA notes and cpareviewforfree.com

    BEC - 65 (4/10), 83 (8/10)

    @Peanut, I feel the same way. I prepared so hard for some topics, and the test was all about the basic stuff. I could recall the mnemom=nics, but who knows. I think I did well on the SIMS. As for my testlets they were medium, harder and medium. I left the test center 40 mins before because I was sooooo hungry ;). Anyway, I am hoping for a miracle here. Let's keep a positive mind, I will keep praying for all of us.

    @snick722, If you are using Becker learn the mnemonics, and try to undestand the J/E. My test was all about basics, so if you are short in time, go over your notes and make lots of MCQ's, don't spend to much time doing SIMS, because you never know. As long as you know the basic concepts you shoud be fine, and remember that you can always use the “Authoritative” tab on the SIMS.

    Done 😉

    snick – This time around, I went through each chapter in the book and wrote (and rewrote) notes. I reworked the problems that they have in the boxes in each chapter, wrote out definitions, formulas, etc. A lot of things just “clicked.”

    It really really helped me. I have never felt so good going into a test and felt so good coming out of a test. Sure, I missed stuff, but I can't believe what a difference that made. And believe me, I know what a failing grade feels like. I may be coming back recanting everything if I didn't do well, but it was such a different experience from all my other exams.

    How are people scheduling exams on January 2, 2012? It's a holiday at my test center. My AUD credit expires that day, and I was really hoping to take REG that day. Do they ever extend the expiration date due to a holiday? The IRS does.

    I'm retaking FAR on 11/26. Last time Statement of Cash Flows held me up. I'm studying that now and it is such a bear. How much are you studying the Statement of Cash Flows? Between the number of transactions that can be involved and they can ask you direct or indirect there is a lot to cover with this one topic.

    Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

    For any Becker users out there, I could really use a best practices run down on how to study for this horrible exam. I thought I was doing it correctly, but apparently not. I have the Becker self-study materials as well as the self-study final review. Any advice on how I should go about re-studying for this exam?
