    IwannaBaCPA – I am taking FAR on 5/26 at 8am as well…..it is the 3rd time for me within the last 18 months. You would think stuff would stick but it seems once you start studying for a new section after taking the test you go through this mind dump. OHHHH how I would love to walk out of Prometric after seing a score flash before you on the screen. Then you could go home and either re-open the same study material or burn it while doing a victory dance. Instead, we take a test move on to the next section to find out a 1/4 of a year later that “oh – I need to restudy”. It stinks.

    Anywho – I am not confident (nor will I ever be walking into FAR) that I will pass this time around. I do believe that I did the best I could with the time available to me working fulltime. So, I will go in and take it, hopefully I will pass – eitherway in the back of my mind I know it is not me but a “interesting testing environment with less then favorable odds for anyone).

    REG - Passed
    FAR - Passed
    BEC - Passed
    AUD - 2-25-12 PASSED - DONE !!!!!!!! WOOHOO

    @magster: thanks for the encouragement to keep plugging along! I really need it as I am in a bit of a panic mode…I am forgetting little stupid things and no where near where I want to be as far as comfort with the material! There is simply too much information to really remember…Let's hope we are BOTH in the small percent that pass this window…

    I am seriously having a panic attack about the TBS…I just can't get comfortable with them and reading the horror stories on here is making it worse…this is NOT a fun experience…BLAH!

    Good LUCK to anyone and everyone facing this monster…

    I just want to say, I HATE Governmental Accounting! It is the worst! Isnt there some governmental certification that that material should belong to? I have 100% confidence that I would pass FAR EXCEPT for the governmental part. I just flat out hate it! Took a Becker quiz on it and scored an 88%. Did the final review lecture and the 6 questions he covered I got right (was feeling pretty confident at that time), then did the remaining questions he doesn't cover, 18 of them and got 3 of the right! Just doesn't make no sense!

    @danatwvu09,

    I hear ya! I am at the library plowing over governmental and nfp. They drive me crazy too. There is so much info, I am having a hard time getting it straight. It is funny because I might do questions in Wiley and do ok, then go to Becker and do poorly, then cpareviewforfree and totally suck. I can never be consistent on these topics. OIY.

    I sit on 5/30 for my third swipe. I am dying here trying to pull it all together.

    Best of luck to you on the 28th!!

    Good luck to everyone who still has sit in the next week or so.

    Govt/NFP is a simple concept but a lot of information. I'm lucky I work in Govt (if working in Govt is lucky), so I didn't really have to review any of the information. All the other FAR topics kept me busy enough I can't even imagine trying to pick up on Govt/NFP to.

    Hey guys. I just have a quick question.

    For the statement of cash flow questions in the Task-Based Simulations, does it matter what order you put in the entries as? For example, I know the cash flow from operations needs to be the first one, then investing, and then financing, but within those, does it matter if the depreciation expense reversal is the first one under the cash flows from operations or the last one?

    Am I making sense?

    Please let me know. I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks.

    I took the FAR exam this past Friday. I have been diligently using Becker to study for the past 2 months. I took Becker's 2 simulated exams, scoring 75-80 on the review exams, having plenty of time (over 1 hour at-east) for the simulations section. I expected the simulations to be comparable to Becker's simulations. Wow, what a surprise I had. I had 45 minutes left on my exam when I entered booklet 4. The simulations were much more detailed, 3x as difficult, and took 3x as much time as I had expected them to take. I rushed through them answering what I could. I have a bad feeling that booklet 4 did me in. I would love to hear some thoughts on this issue?

    Retook far today. Went ok for the most part, but left one sim completely blank as i didnt know how to do it but i finished mostly everything else and nailed alot of the SIMS. Has anyone passed with leaving a SIM blank last testing window?

    I just took the first Becker practice exam and didn't do so well on the multiple choice questions, mostly because of my silly mistakes. Am I screwed for the FAR exam?

    @momo5

    I don't think you are screwed. I am taking FAR next Monday, so I can't say I have passed, but, all the simulated exams and practice are just that: practice. Learn from your mistakes. Case in point, I took a test last night around 8:00 and got an 80%. I took another one around 10:00 and got 57%. I made a bunch of stupid mistakes, I didn't really read the whole question, I ignored one word that changed the calculation—the point was that I knew why I made the mistakes. I guess I probably should save rereading notes for the ten o'clock hour!!!

    Best of luck to you. I am in the throws of cramming. I stayed in my pj's all day yesterday. My family thought I was a nutjob!!

    Just finished my exam. I had a little over an hour left. I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. I feel way better than I did after REG (that's not saying much though), and now just gotta wait a month for both those scores. Good luck to all of you still studying!

    I too was expecting the sims to be similar to what was in Becker. I was surprised and panicked a little bit when I skimmed through each question at the beginning. I didn't necessarily think the concepts were way harder though, they just were more detailed and required a lot more than just choosing an option from a list. I think I may have only had 2 boxes that had choices, the rest required numbers. After I got into it, I realized they weren't as bad as I first thought, and I finished about 10 minutes early.

    @hurley.120

    How much time did you give yourself for the SIMS? Did you only have 1 research one?

    Thanks and I hope you passed! My try is Thursday!
