AnonymousInactive@gottagetmycpa-
I'm on BEC also and am scheduled for 11/14. I'm only on Chapter 3 but am getting discouraged! This stuff is horrible!! 70, 70 and 69, thats not bad. You still have a few days until you test so I bet you will do fine. Please tell me though that it starts sticking at some point. I go through the homework and try to follow everything but I just can't get some of it!
Did you, or anyone have a similar experience, and then feel a little better towards the end. At this rate, my opinion is that BEC is one of the hardest ones!!!

gottagetmycpaMember@ana9816 it def. gets easier. i don't know how folks do the homework the first time and score 70's. My goal is 50 & 55 percent. If I score at least that then I know I have retained about half of the information by just listing to the lectures. The key is MCQ! I did not do this with FAR as well as I should have but if you work them and understand why it is A not B, C or D. U will do fine. Just remember you are not going to learn EVERYthing. There is just no way. Is this your first exam??
FAR 76
REG 76(2x)
BEC FAILED (2x)
AUD FAILED (2x)"When you don't give up, YOU CANNOT FAIL"

AnonymousInactiveThat's good to know. Some of the MCQ I don't even feel like I understand after reading the explanations.
No, it isnt my first exam. Its actually my last, well not sure I passed REG, will find out next week (hopefully!).
I know how I felt before and I dont remember feeling so lost. I'm hoping it gets better!
Good luck next week!

SherridMemberI sat for BEC yesterday after getting a 74 in the last testing window. I felt as though I was well prepared. I used Becker and Jeff's ninja notes. My problem (once again) was the WC portion, I had alot of math intensive calculations, and I knew the formula's so I took the time to answer them. Is it possible to pass if your memo's are short? Of the three my last one was the worst, the shortest and only BS as I didn't know much about the topic. I didn't notice the testlets getting more difficult in fact I'd say they were about the same. I did have a few bizarre theory questions which I'm hoping were pretest. I also noticed on two separate testlets I had questions that used the same formula's- do they test us twice to see if we know the formula or if we're guessing? The nmemonic's in Chpt 5 helped me to remember some of the formulas. I was also tested fairly heavily on Chpt. 3 and 5. According to NASBA I'll get my score around the 21 of November. On to FAR!

praying_for_75MemberWith due respect to the AICPA disclosure rules, I would like to hear from recent test takers(those that have used Becker) if they would recommend going over the GAAP and IFRS related material (which is included in the ancillary material in BEC 1)…
I have also noticed some additional information regarding Corporate Governance as Becker updates on their website…Has anyone felt the necessity to go over it?
Plz help..Exam in 2 weeks…

AnonymousInactive@praying for 75, definitely go over them, you have to, i took BEC 2 weeks ago and got some (although really not many, maybe 1 or 2 but could make a difference) about GAAP and IFRS. When i first saw this i was like “m i taking a far exam?” So my point is study everything, BEC MC could be anything in my opinion.

SherridMemberI took the exam yesterday and there was not a single IFRS question…I think we get different questions. I would recommend knowing the nmemonics from chpt 5. Chpt 3 and 5 were heavily tested.
