Took BEC in the middle of August. Still waiting for my score (CA). A colleague of mine took hers after I did and recieved a failing score on Monday (9/19). I guess I'm on the second wave. Congrats to those that have passed!!!

I'm taking BEC for the second time in two weeks, I've been using Becker but I'm sick of highlighting and not retaining any information. SInce it's so close to my exam date, does anyone suggest I buy a Wiley book now or just stick to Becker? I just bought the NINJA study notes, so I'm not sure where to go from here….

My second wave AUD score was an 80…which I didnt consider close.

However, this is beyond second wave for BEC now and AICPA just posted this on their facebook wall:

AICPA Hello everyone, we just wanted to remind you of the scoring process for the BEC section. Written communications tasks require additional analysis by human graders when the candidate score is close to the passing score. This process takes longer than the scoring process for other sections. We need to ensure accuracy and validity, and we thank you for your patience.

So you are def. correct about these last bunch of scores! Guess we should probably start studying AGAIN.

For your study materials, it honestly depends on personal preference. Being that you are so close to your exam, I would just stick with the materials that you currently have. Working through the Becker MCQ's over and over are most likely your best bet.

I know that Becker can be quite frustrating at times, especially with all of the highlighting with very little explanation on many topics, but with the exception of IT, I feel like Becker did a great job of preparing me for BEC in such a short amount of time. Continuously drilling through the MCQ's are what I feel enabled me to pass BEC on the first try.

With that being said, although I have no experience with the Ninja Notes, supplementing your study materials will never hurt you come exam day. When I was studying for BEC, I read a lot of posts by people on here saying that the Ninja Notes were great for IT, so definitely read that section a few times if you have the time. The IT questions on the actual exam were out of left field for me, so with the exception of IT, using Becker should prepare you just fine (at least in my opinion).

Hope I helped and best of luck!!

I'm still waiting for my BEC score. 1700 were released Friday so I'm waiting for TX to post….I'm hoping I passed. I'm not giving up hope because some people have passed in the 2nd wave.
