I had a similar experience. I spent so much time stressing over variances and tons of capital budgeting and cost accounting questions and only got a handful of those. I'd say that's a good thing but i wasn't 100% confident about the theory questions either..so I don't know how this is going to go…praying for a miracle =)

    @Sonia

I did the same thing. I focused so much on variances and cost accounting. I wish i would have received more questions that were calculations. I would have felt a lot more comfortable.

Good luck! Hopefully we both passed.

Do you think that the Wiley testbank, CPAreviewforfree, and the NINJA notes are enough for BEC? I've gone through corporate governance and IT and it seems pretty easy so far. A little too easy for my liking. I'm worried that I'll be too confident but not really as prepared as I need to be.

    FAR 82
    AUD 81 (2007), 73, 80
    REG 68 (2010), 76
    BEC 58 (2007), 75 DONE!!!!

ive taken BEC three times now… the first test was nearly all theory. the second test was heavy calculations. the third was somewhere in between. i thought i passed it the first time, but failed. the second test i knew i failed, but came close. this third one i feel good about… which is scary. all three test were of the same difficulty. that normally means fail. all i need is a 75.

    FAR - 88
    REG - 88
    AUD - 69, 79
    BEC - 71, 74, 82

Please help me! I'm studying BEC to sit in October 13. Do they give us paper to use it for calculation? How about the calculator, is it same as the one on Wiley test bank CD? uhhh that calculator is killing me, it is so time taking.

    Thanks

The candidate bulletin says you'll receive scratch paper for your exam. I'm assuming that holds true in most jurisdictions.

As for the calculator, you should really go to https://www.cpa-exam.org/ and go to the Tutorial and Sample tests they offer. You can play around with the calculator, the spreadsheet, and other stuff that are exact replicas of the test environment.

    Hope that helps!

    AUD - 79
    BEC - 88
    REG - 87
    FAR - 86 - Woot, all done!
    Ethics - 100
