    @Acct

    Isolate yourself somewhere without an internet connection. Of course as I say this I should be studying but the library does have free WIFI!

    Good Luck on your last exam!

    Thanks, Smith. I hope this is my last exam! – I don't know if I passed Reg yet as I just took it last month. Studying in a place without internet connection is a good idea, and I've started disconnecting my access to the internet when I study at home. Unfortunately, by the time I get out of work the library is generally not open for much longer, but sometimes when I have a chance I go there. I actually have a day off tomorrow, so I'm looking forward to getting some of these lectures done!

    Asleephere, haven't really figured anything out – (even without internet connection, I notice things to clean, mail to go through, etc…) so any other advice is welcome!

    My current method is to get through the lectures and then begin the reading and mcqs, so I keep reminding myself that I just have to get through these lectures, and if I keep delaying them (like I did with other exam reviews) I'll be under more pressure towards the end.

    Although I didn't get to spend much time studying tonight, I did finally take care of 2 major things I've been pushing off, so that's not so bad. Tomorrow's a brand new day (actually, at this point tomorrow is today) for studying.

    how do you guys do in the Becker BEC HW? On AUD, I could literally almost know correctly and do every question in all 5 lectures (Except some tricky stuff from ch. 4).. On BEC, a 50-60 is like actually good for me.. Is there hope on the real exam?

    CPA
    AUD - 7/26/11 - pass
    BEC - 8/31/11 - pass
    FAR - 10/14/11 - pass
    REG - 11/26/11 - pass
    CMA
    2/27/15 - pass
    5/9/15 - pass

    @nickc1028,

    My first time through I would average a 75% after going through each chapter slowly and taking notes. 2nd and 3rd time through you want to be closer to 90%.

    Just keep practicing!

    I should have mentioned there were a couple of longer sections where I fell between 60-70%, so don't worry about the outliers too much. AUD was a piece of cake, wasn't it?!

    Don't worry! I haven't done mcqs yet for BEC, but I was scoring like that on other sections first time around. Like Smith said, you've got to keep practicing and 2nd and 3rd time around you should be scoring much higher.

    I think AUD was my favorite section (out of FAR, REG and AUD) – I felt a lot of it was using common sense, or just figuring out the examiners' style. (I also remembered quite a bit from college, so I guess that helped)

    Took BEC yesterday morning. The multiple choice questions were as expected; there were a handful of questions either on topics I had never heard of or in far more detail than my review materials covered (Becker). I left around 50 minutes for the WC's but ran out of time on my last one. I only finished about half of it. Thats what Im beating myself up over… I studied a solid 200 hours for this test, so hopefully things turn out okay in September.
