Well I just started my CPA journey at 1:30PM today with BEC. The MCQ got progressively harder so I hope that is a good sign. Now I'm prepping for Audit in a month and results in September. At least I have something to keep me occupied while I wait for my BEC scores!

Congrats Cyneric! I wish you all the best! how was the theory vs. calculation ratio? Comparable to your study MCQ's? Harder? Easier? I've got about 18 hours left of preparation.

I took the exam today to start my process as well..

Hey has anyone left the test center, not feeling that great and think they passed?

The testlets progressively got harder so that was a good sign but the third test was pretty hard and not feeling that confident about my answers left me worried.

I didn't know 2 of the writing topics so I didn't feel that great about that either.

Cpa-sector- My test was pretty heavy on the theory which I wasn't too pumped about. Pretty comparable to the MCQs I did with Gleim except the third testlet had some questions I had never seen anything like before.

The questions were heavy on theory but easier than what I practiced. By the time I hit the third testlet they became comparable to the MCQs with Wiley review. Good luck!

EC8338 – I'm sort of in the same boat you are. I felt pretty good about the first two testlets but the third I had doubts with about 8 of the answers. As for writing, I had two questions that I didn't know the answer to 100% so I had to deduce what kind of info they wanted from the form of the question. I'm hoping I was heading in the right direction. I guess time will tell…

Anyone using Yaeger CPA Review for BEC? I loved Cindy in FAR, but it seems like for BEC she's just reading out of the book. I mean, you can't really blame her because there seems to be a lot more theory in BEC than calculations like FAR. I like that she's using the time to go over calculation MCQs whenever they do come up.

I just find myself dozing off whenever she's reading from the book b/c I figure I can just go back and do that on my own. It's hard to stay focused when its just a bunch of reading from the book.

I should be finished with the videos by Sunday so then I can really tackle the MCQs and get this show on the road!

I have to also agree that 1 out of the 3 testlets was much more difficult, except mine was the 2nd one. Not really sure what this means. I've heard that your performance on a current testlet determines the difficulty of the next testlet. For example, I probably did really well on my first one, bombed my second one, and can only guess how I did on my third one (which I thought was fairly easy).

I've had enough of studying for BEC… I still have about 2.5 weeks until the exam, but I'm wishing that i wouldn't have rescheduled it (originally scheduled for 7/27 – I rescheduled it after June scores came out when I knew this was the only section I had to focus on this testing window). I'm ready to just be done!
