The BaasMemberI took BEC this morning. I didn't think it was too bad. A few things were worded weird. I did not memorize many of the formula's, I took more of an understanding approach. I think business concepts make sense, and when you get an understanding of what they are trying to get at then you can figure out the answer without memorizing any formulas. I loved finishing with the written communication. That is my bread and butter. I wish it was worth more than 15% but hey, it wasn't even on it in the past so I can't complain. Now that I'm saying it wasn't too bad, I better have passed it! haha. We shall see. Time to stop thinking about it and start preparing for FAR! IFRS/GAAP differences, here we come!

KT5445MemberIs anyone else using Becker for BEC? I am in the middle of the mc ?'s for chapter 1 and feel completely lost. The mnemonic devices don't seem to help with the mc. The mc ?'s also seem to be real lengthy and in depth. The lectures have referenced they come back to some of the material in Chapters 3 and 5 so Idk if it will be explained better then. I also have never taken cost acct. and took managerial 4 years ago so I'm not sure if its just me having no knowledge causing my problems. Anyone else have similar issues? Should I consider switching to another review course or supplementing with something else?
One other thing… I don't feel like Peter Olinto's lectures do a great job of pointing out what is important, I had the same issue with the business law in REG. I thought Tim Gearty did a really good job of pointing out what is important in AUD and REG. Does anyone else have similar problems with Olinto's lectures? From what I've read online and on here sounds like everyone loves him. Any tips for watching his lectures?

Def make sure you know corporate governance!! WC are easy, although I had to BS my way through the last one. I dont feel as horrible as I did after FAR and REG but who knows, have to wait till the end of September!! :O
