LauraParticipant@cev….I failed it for the 7th time….you pick yourself up and you change your study method…something isn't working. My approach this time will be to read read read the material not just watch lectures and hope I get it from the lectures. I am also going to do a lot more multiple choice questions. Study like you made a 25 and you want a 100. You can do this!! Don't blame the review they all have the basic same info it's how you go about studying the info. Can you afford to quit your job and make studying your full time job? If you can…do it…I would if I could; unfortunately not an option for me. Make a schedule, stick to it and don't let anything get in your way!! We will be CPAs!!!

Taxi Cow TentParticipant@ CEV – I'm not sure how many MC questions you are doing now but I would ramp that # up. It's different for everyone (ie, how you best learn), but for me, there was no substitute for doing MC questions (and sims). Roger's videos were very helpful, and that was the foundation, but I think I really learned the material through MCQ. I started to get the ‘feel' for how they asked the questions and what they were looking for. You can't learn that through reading or watching videos. You can only learn it (at least for me) by practicing.
I probably did clost to a 1,000 questions per section (except for AUD and the # was closer to 600-700). And in the final days, I did Wiley questions via CD and did little 20-25 question tests BY SECTION to see which sections I needed to focus in on.
I wouldn't give up. Good luck!

j214ParticipantTook BEC this morning and it was horrible. And I studied. I mean really studied. Like I can quote formulas in my sleep. I knew the material and it was still torture. This section is going to haunt me I just know it! Ugh. Now off to “enjoy” my vacation tomorrow to get back into AUD in 2 weeks. Can't wait. Good luck everyone.

SynergiexMember@j214 I felt the same thing. It was way harder than I expected. I didn't fail even in Becker's practice exams so I will be pretty disappointed if I fail the actual thing.
But good news is that it could be a good sign. First testlet's difficulty is always medium. Then if you do good at it, next testlet has a harder difficulty and questions worth more. And I felt like last 2 testlets were significantly harder than the first one (well at least the second one. I am still not sure about the 3rd). So I hope it is really a good sign… I guess we will figure that out sooner or later…
Good luck with Audit… Next is REG for me…

lovexlyMemberJust took BEC. Finished all 3 testlets in 1hr10 min but that really doesn't mean anything. The only thing I have to say about it is that I don't think the % relating to each topic is accurate. Good luck to everyone! AUD in 3 weeks for me!

AnonymousInactiveBEC was horrible yesterday. The MCQ seemed foreign to me and I don't know why. I studied harder for this than any of the others. The WC I feel really awesome about. Another issue was that the testing center didn't have a/c from 7:30 to about 9. They gave us the option to wait until 8:30 and if the a/c wasn't fixed by then we could have rescheduled. I was afraid to wait because my anxiety would have been super high so I just dealt with it. Most of us did. Around 9 the air came on but then a fire alarm went off! And there was some loud mouth that was talking in the testing lab!! It was so hard to concentrate! I was frustrated and still am.
