I failed BEC for the 6th time today. Seriously am I the only one who has so much problems with BEC? I do understand this freaking test. Ive studied so much, Ive wasted so much money trying to take this stupid test and I just want to scream and run away! I really dont understand how some ppl just pass all these exams on the first try! Ahhhhhhhhhhh screw you BEC!

I am 100% confident that part of Becker's problem with BEC is the person giving the lectures. Silly and irrelevant as it may seem, I simply cannot stand this new dude giving lectures (B2 and B4 specifically). First, he wants you to highlight or underline everything on the entire page. Well, why not just leave it blank if the end result is to make it an entirely different color?? Then, as opposed to the usual 2 dudes that did all the lectures for AUD, FAR and REG, new guy doesn't add anything in addition to what is already printed in the book. He reads sentences here and there, emphasizing random words and talking at 99mph. I mean really, is this necessary??

I like the Olinto guy because he gives lots of examples and puts the material into simple to understand terms that make it much easier to remember come exam time and actually adds value to taking the time to listent to the lectures. But I've given up on this other guy…I feel like it's just a waste of time to listen. I skip the lectures he does and read the material on my own. This seems to be much more effective and efficient for my study time as I have a much easier time going through the MC questions.

Personal preference that I thought I would share.

Okay since I've been doing this for a long time I have to say I much much much much prefer Mike Potenza to the first guy I ever saw on Becker, Rick Duffy. He literally put me to sleep….I can't even explain to you how horrible he was….Any other people out there that have been doing becker since 2007 and before will most likely agree with me!

    REG-80, 77, 77
    BEC-67, 68, 71, 67, 71, 74, 71, 74, 72, 77
FAR- 72, 65,67, 53, 75 (truth be known the 53 was with 4 hours of studying)
    AUD-58, 62, 72, 74, 74, 75
took 5 years but I'm DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@keeptrying – I'm glad I didn't have to go through that. I don't really enjoy Mike Potenza's lectures because I get extremely bored. I can't imagine having someone more dull. I wish Peter Olinto did them all, he keeps me interested.

    FAR: 84
    AUD: 95
    REG: 78
    BEC: 88
    ETHICS: 100

I am taking BEC tomorrow morning! I am getting a little nervous since last time I took the exam I got a 74! I feel much more prepared than last time, but I am nervous about this new corporate governance. What has everyone reviewed for this area? Wiley has only 24 questions, but has it worth almost 20%! I just don't know!

    REG (66) 80
    BEC (74) 75
    AUD 78
    FAR November 2011

    @j1214,

I think I got a free trial to Gleim for BEC. They had alot of corporate governance questions that I didn't see on WIley or Becker. They also had a study sheet on corporate governance.

    Best of luck!!
