thetalambda2002MemberVeronica75, I barely passed BEC, but I did manage to pass it on the first go round. I went with Yaeger because Becker was just too expensive. To study, I watched the Yaeger videos, took notecards while I watched, read the chapters in Wiley, and then did the problems in the Wiley Book. The week before the exam I spent my time memorizing my notecards, redoing the problems I missed, and doing practice tests with the Wiley software. I think Yaeger did a good job and there was nothing on the exam that I didn't remember going over just some of the computation problems were extremely difficult. My only complaint was that Corporage Governance wasn't as thorough as I felt it needed to be, but I've heard that complaint from the other programs as well.

TejParticipantFinally passed BEC. I'm done with all the sections and have completed the CPA Exam. What a journey this has been. Thanks Club 75 and all the people who post their experiences. Persistence is the key on these exams and I encourage all candidates to stick to it and you will make it thru. Best of luck to all those people still in the CPA exam process.

OnemoretopassMemberI am new to this forum. I have failed BEC twice, making a 70 both times. I just recently took it my second time on 5/31/2011. I failed the first time in Oct 2010. I was able to update my Becker with the 2011 version, but still didn't help. I had my first baby in Dec 2010 so my study habits are a little different now. This is my last test to pass. I passed all other parts in 2010 when I was pregnant. I didn't have anything else to do pregnant so I studied, hoping to be done with this test before my baby was born. Anyway, I guess I am going to purchase the Ninja notes this time since failing it twice with Becker. I really hate to spend anymore money, but I have to pass this part!!!! Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I am also 31 and running out of time at work, I need those 3 letters!!!!

SynergiexMemberI am going to take BEC on Friday and I feel almost ready for it. However, calculating overhead variances are killing me. It seems way too complex comparing to other calculation questions. Actually, I am not sure if you would all agree but I don't even think that they would ask a question as complex as them.
Does anyone know a good source that I can check for this subject? I guess I just want to be on the safe side…
B - 7/1/2011 ---------> 85

Veronica75MemberI'm attending a final review course for BEC through Becker, but I feel like I should look at a different course during my review this time around. I'm looking into Yaeger but can't decide if I should buy the BEC part with all the lectures? Or merely the CRAM course (its less $$$) – has anyone used either of these? Can you provide some insight?
$$$$$$ I swear! I'm probably $6k into this thing. That's two or three decent vacations 🙂
FAR - 79 (2x)
AUD - 81 (expired), 77!
REG - 74! omg (3x) 87!!!!!!! I'm done! OMG!
