Here's a suggestion that helped me. Go thru your notes and write down all the formulas separately. Then go thru and pick out the ones that you know you have the most trouble with and write them out again Take this with you to the exam and read it until you go in. Then, write out as much as you can remember on your scratch paper before you start the exam. Just be sure not to exceed the 10 minute period. By this point you probably know them well enough that you won't have to refer to them, but it's nice to have reassurance.

Also, I found the ninja notes to be very helpful with IT. I read and reread Becker and Wiley several times but wasn't getting it. However, I think I got every it question right after going thru the ninja notes several times. Jeff's updated them for the 7/1 release so they're as current as anything out there.

@eartzi's right about corporate gov. You need to know this really well.

    FAR 4/1/11 - 89
    AUD 4/15/11 - 85
    REG 4/29/11 - 80

I have been reading your posts and find your advice to be the most helpful. I have been taking this exam for 2 years now and have only passed one part (Audit), i am so fed up i could scream. My main obstacle is finding the time to study. I work full time and i am so tired when i come home at night that i just can't study. I am seriously at my breaking point today, last week i found out i failed FAR with a 70. I think a 70 hurts almost as bad as a 74.

I am taking BEC on friday and i can't reschedule or i would and i have only gotten through 3 sections of Becker. B1-B3. Actually i have listened to all the lectures however i have only gotten through the MCQ's of B1-B3. I get so discouraged with studying because it takes me so long to get through the questions. How do you think i should tackle this…..should i try to get through the rest of the MCQ or should i jsut keep studying what i have already done?

Also what was your study method…..Did you listen to the whole lecture before you started the MCQ or did you listen to a lecture then to the MCQ.

Thanks guys! That helps. I don't have the ninja notes. If I order them today will I get them today so I can study them tonight? I am going through the Becker MCQ and writing out the equation I am suppose to use if I know it and working the problem out. If I don't know it I do my best and after I select an answer I pull up the solution and write the equation on my notes and then in my notebook I rework the problem. Will this suffice? Also, what supplemental material can I use for the corporate governance? I have read Lecture 1 in Becker and did well on those MCQ and wrote out notes for the lecture on top of what the notes are when you go through the Lecture. What else can I do besides MCQ from cpareviewforfree and the Becker MCQ?

Melissa1002, I just read your post that you did b1 to b3 mc. I would say, definately know the last chapter. I was so confused when i took the exam at the end of May, I prepared myself according to the %guideline for CPA exams. Was surprise to find out i didn't get any question on IT and i had that section down. However Budget is listed only as 8% on the outline but was tested heavily and i am glad i went over it !!

One more thing i want to mention for Becker program users, take the simulated final exams in the software, i would say it's a pretty fair measure of what your score could be on the real exam.

HELP! I've failed BEC three times now with Becker. I keep hearing that a lot of people feel Becker is lacking when it comes to BEC. I'm looking into other review courses. Yaeger CRAM? Any advice from anyone would be helpful. I'm at a crossroads where I have to make some tough decisions – I don't want to give up, but my Becker software expired this month. Awesome Becker. I spent nearly $4k on your review course, and now I can't even work through my practice questions to prepare for my next exam?

I never thought I would be studying for 18 months, but here I am.

    FAR - 79 (2x)
    AUD - 81 (expired), 77!
    REG - 74! omg (3x) 87!!!!!!! I'm done! OMG!
    BEC - 81 (4x)

Veronica I feel your pain. I just failed BEC with a 72 and now have lost REG because of it and I had 3 parts passed and just need to get BEC. This was my 4th time failing BEC and I'm at a loss now of what to do. I mainly used Becker but I also did a lot of Wiley questions with BEC this time around and still didn't get me to a 75. Now I have to pass REG and BEC by December because that's when my FAR expires. I'm taking any and all advice on what to do for either parts. I just bought the Ninja notes for both parts but I can't decide if I should buy both parts through Becker or go through another brand. Honestly I'm about to give up because this test has been going on for almost the past 3 years and I'm sick of it.
