I have my test on Saturday and am starting to feel nervous. The formulas in Becker Lecture 3 are starting to freak me out! There is so much random stuff that I am over-lapping things and starting to dig too deep into the question and over-thinking it. UGH!! I hate this section!!

@akb9874… we have very similar stats!! I failed FAR in Feb with a 68 & I just got my scores back for Aud where I got 73 🙁 I feel the exact same way about BEC!! I had planned on taking 7/06 & retaking Aud 8/08 but I'm starting to freak out bout BEC!! The material is just so overwhelming…I think because there are so many topics and they are not really anyway related unlike Audit & Far are! Best of luck on Sat 😉

@Netty – I am glad I am not the only one! AUD broke my spirit yesterday. I know I bombed REG and did pretty bad of FAR but I knew those kick my but and was actually surprised to see something over 50 on REG but AUD I felt really good about. The simulations kicked my butt on all 3 tests. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I do the Becker simulations and do really well. I am not really worried about the BEC sims though because I usually do a good job writing. I am a professional bull sh!tter! haha Good luck to you. I will let you know how my test goes. If you have any suggestions for anything please let me know and I will do the same!

BEC is an unbelievably tricky exam….dont be fooled by how “short” the exam is compared to other sections…the 2011 version of this exam is just as difficult as any other section.

Yea….know everything really well…,,,make sure you've memorized the formulas…make a list and keep working through problems using them….corporate governance is tricky and most review programs dont spend enough time on it (worth 20% I believe and Wiley has 24 questions…not enough).

Use a good review program but supplement it with Jeff's NINJA notes, cpareviewforfree, and whatever else you can get your hands on…

Most important advice, don't spend less time on BEC than other sections just because it's a somewhat shorter exam

Here's a suggestion that helped me. Go thru your notes and write down all the formulas separately. Then go thru and pick out the ones that you know you have the most trouble with and write them out again Take this with you to the exam and read it until you go in. Then, write out as much as you can remember on your scratch paper before you start the exam. Just be sure not to exceed the 10 minute period. By this point you probably know them well enough that you won't have to refer to them, but it's nice to have reassurance.

Also, I found the ninja notes to be very helpful with IT. I read and reread Becker and Wiley several times but wasn't getting it. However, I think I got every it question right after going thru the ninja notes several times. Jeff's updated them for the 7/1 release so they're as current as anything out there.

@eartzi's right about corporate gov. You need to know this really well.
