I know most of you are eagerly awaiting your BEC scores but in between the anxiety attacks, could any of you give some pointers for the BEC? I take my test 7/2 and am on my last Becker lecture and am gearing up for the review. Any suggestions or warnings? I am most nervous about the economic/financial and the cost accounting portions.

@akb9874 I would focus on lectures 3 and 4 and the new SOX stuff; from what I hear it has changed a lot from last year. I took it 04/03 and have been checking incessantly for my scores. Good luck!

    BEC - 2011.04.03 PASS!
    AUD - 2011.05.22 (AWAITING SCORE)
    FAR - 2011.07.24
    REG - 2011.08.26

@akb-so yes im celebrating, but still rmemebr being stressed out and unsure and looking for help…for final review id gow ith my usual advice from other 2 secs- MULTIPLE CHOICE!!! over and over again-and i took all the advice here form people who said bec was weak with becker and i ddi ALLLLLL the questions on cpareviewforfree.com…they REALLY helped to see them in a different light and realize i wasnt really grasping as much as memorizing

the written comms are NOT BAD…i feel bad for those who take the test from out of country w no english as primary language, but if yorue here and can write with common sense, youre fine..my study method for them is just go thru the 12 or so from becker and wirte and read those answers a few times….NO NEED to ever research for the answers-they dont want techincal answers…my answers didnt stretch more than a few short paragraphs and basically put in a lot of like professional, realistic sentences like if your writing to cep be like “this is the answer in short, if you have any questions i will be ahppy to emet with you and go over anything specific in more detail”-this leaves you in a position where scorers CANT take pts off bcasue your not necessarily wrong haha

i was surpised by some of the economic questions but if you read wlal streetjournal or are up on current events your fine, id focus on macro stuff and just reallyyyyyyy know ONE version of the formula (the longest one) like interst rates up, supply whatever, demand whatever, disc rate whatever, etc. (then use your head and decipher the opposite of what question may ask you)

please feel free to ask me anythinggggg

Congrats Aldog—good luck on REG, I think Becker will prepare you well for it, just be ready for some ridiculous sims. Its a beast of an exam.

Hi everyone. Just wanted to say that I passed BEC and I am done with all the exams!!!!!!!!!! Man it feels good to know I won't have to look at those Wiley books again. I used Yaeger w/wiley books and nothing else.
