needing a 75Membertook bec on tuesday… my first testlet was far and away the hardest. not a good sign. it seemed as though my entire test was calculations. which i guess is karma considering when i took bec last november, i had nearly all theory questions. i made a 71 on that test. i was better prepared for it this time around but ill be shocked if i made over a 71.

AnonymousInactiveLOL! I love it!! I was wondering when the cheers would start up again! 🙂
@keeptrying – My exam…well…it went. I will say that I feel better prepared for it this time than last time, but honestly I left the testing center with absolutely no feeling about how it went. I'm glad to hear that you thought yours went well though! That is great to hear!!
@Allyson – I was thinking the same thing about my exam regarding difficulty. I was trying to figure out if my testlets were getting harder or not…I couldn't tell at all!! And that definitely worries me.
Overall, I could have easily used an extra half hour on the exam. However, I decided from now on I'm going big or going home…so I decided to start with a bang at the Prometric center. When they took my picture, I said “passing” instead of cheese. Think it helped?

What I noticed about my exam was that I had several of the same questions repeated. It was the strangest thing…i hope i got those right because that's some extra easy points….but if i got them wrong…eeeeeeeeeek! I agree though with you and Allyson I couldn't tell if my test was getting harder…i really don't think it did.

AnonymousInactivelol I don't even remember the questions I had on my exam. I do know that I caught a few tricks the examiners were trying to throw in, but who knows if it was enough to pass. I'm sure you got those questions that were repeated correct…I have no doubt that you know your stuff and mastered it for exam day.
I'm just THRILLED to have my life back for 4 weeks until scores come out! I'm actually thinking about waiting until WI sends out scores…yeah I'm dilusional right now. Must be suffering from post-CPA exam disorder. 🙂

weed74Participant@cev i use CPAexcel. i took BEC about 2 years ago and passed my first try with a 76 after studying about 80 hours or so. I lost credit for that one and just took it again. Never feel good walking out of the exam room but not many people do. I feel like their material adequately covers all the topics, but I wish they had a few more practice questions for cost accounting calculations, since those seem to be heavy on the exam.
