    Hi everyone on this forum,

I just registered myself on this forum, while i was reading the posts from other users related to BEC exams. I just took BEC last week, May 25,2011 and it was the first exam towards my CPA. I came to this forum trying to see how other candidates felt about the BEC exam.

since this was my first exam, i really don't know how to feel about the exam. I felt the exam was easy, i am unable to tell if the questions ever got harder in any of the three testlets. I feel they were pretty much the same, all i can say is i probably had more calculation questions on 2nd and 3rd testlets. Really had no idea on how to answer one WC question, other two were okay. I just dont know how to feel about the exam, if i felt it was easy i am thinking i should pass but then again i dont know if i got all easy questions on all testlets, cz i just can't tell on the level of difficulty for questions i had on the testlets.

I am watiting for my scores, i guess thats the best for me to do. I will move on to study for the next section and hope i passed the BEC.

did anyone else felt that exam was easy? btw i used becker material and felt b5 should've been right after b1, not sure why they organized it that way, just didn't make sense to study for cost accounting half in b1 and the rest in b5. B5 was tough.

I wish all the candidates best of luck!!

@ whatrupto. I took BEC last week. It was my first CPA exam attempt. I also felt it was pretty easy. However, I felt becker didn't prepared me well for SOX and Corporate Governance. I don't know what to expect. I just hope I passed. Good luck!

I took bec this past Thursday and I must say I feel pretty good about it. I know already that I messed up on one of the calculations questions which is super frustrating because I knew what I had to do but I didn't realize it till I left the exam. I also had a few other calculation questions which where out of left field but I expected that on a few. I didn't get very many IT questions but I did have a good amount of coso, which I feel becker prepared me well for it, at least I think so. I felt good coming out my last attempt of bec but ended up with a 69. I hope this time around things will be different and I can get over this hurdle. I can say I knew most of the questions and the simulations I felt were pretty easy and basic. I hope my feelings are good because I had a dream last night that I failed, so I don't know if that is a preview to come or if it's me stressing out… I wish everybody luck who took their exam this past week. Oh btw, I didn't get any repeat questions. Just hoping to pass now.

I agree with you about Becker organization for BEC. One thing I like about Becker is that they usually follow the CSO, but they combined topics 1 and 6 from the CSO in the first lesson. I read somewhere in the text or notes that they felt those topics had a natural fit, but I don't agree.

    AUD 4/15/11 - 85

Just took BEC and hope it was my final experience with the CPA exam. Found the test straight forward. Had some COSO and internal control questions, but nothing careful reading couldn't figure out. Was really scared about them. Especially after all that has been said with about Becker course. Know I did well on first section as difficulty jumped on second and third was about the same. Lots of calculations but none of the odd ball ones. With the exception of maybe two questions, I feel Becker did a good job for me. Took me :28, :44, and :31 for the first three testlets. Spent about 1:15 on WC. Not hard, but probably wrote too much.

Just curious, any of those that used Becker and didn't fee well about test, did you use the Final Review and Note Cards as well or just the course?

Good luck to all on here!

Alright, my showdown is at 9:30 tomorrow morning….of course I'm starting to go into panic mode (do I know everything I need to know, what if what I know isn't on the exam, etc.). I just hope and pray it goes well.

I am downloading songs from Jock Jams Cd's to “pump myself up” for the 2 hour drive to the testing center. Evidently I feel that maybe getting psyched for this one might help. All I have to say is I know what I know (which feels like it is more than last time) and tomorrow…the AICPA better watch out!

IT'S ON LIKE DONKEY KONG!!! 🙂

Good luck to everyone in the April/May testing window!

Not sure what to think about BEC. Can someone confirm there was only 3 written communications for the whole exam? I took the whole time and wasn't sure if there was another set of written comms that I didn't know about (god I hope not)

    FAR, BEC, REG - Passed
    AUD - ? (7.1)
