    @roller,

Check out You Tube and see if you can find a video of RogerCPA doing his variance lecture. I found this really helpful. I am constantly referring to his “SEVen”. There was also some good advice on here a few months back. I'll see if I can find it and repost.

My BEC exam is this Tuesday. i took the becker final exam and scored a 79, 75, and a depressing 41. Is this a failing sign? I also took the other becker final exam and scored a 95, 87, and 83. However, many of these questions were questions that I have already seen on the becker homework.

    BEC 77
    FAR 81
    AUD 97
    REG 75

@Harry: if your exam is anything like mine, the info is all over the place and IMO Becker did not really do such a great job preparing me…I did ALL the lectures, MCQ and Supplemental Q in Becker and still saw a lot on the exam that was foreign to me…I don't think my scores on the final exam for Becker are even relevant honestly, but they did indicate areas I needed more practice in to help me focus in the last few days…

Good luck to you and don't stress about the results in Becker!

    BEC: 79 - April 2011
    FAR: 78 - May 2011
    AUD: 81 - May 2012
    REG: 79 - October 2012
    Ethics: Passed - March 2013
    I am finally DONE!

@Harry- I could not agree more w/ IwannaBaCPA. I felt so prepared going into the exam last week after taking Roger. I did all the lectures, took 25 pages of notes, and did all the MC at least twice. Many, many, many practice exams and I was killing it. Then I took the test. The tested material just wasn't representative of my studies. I'm not knocking Roger FYI, b/c I took his class and did well on FAR and REG. I don't think it matters who you study w/ for BEC, it just seems like the test is a little ahead of the study material. I don't know. It really was tough though. Good luck.

    FAR - 11/10 - 84
    REG - 2/11 - 89
    BEC - 5/11 - 80
    AUD - 5/11 - 83

I agree with the two posts above. What I was asked to study was not aligned with the exam content. Very disappointing.

Does anyone know how they decide which 2 written communications to grade?

    hey guys,

I just graduated and am just about to apply for the CPA exam as soon as my transcripts ready.

My plan was to take the BEC part first..but Ive been combing through this forum for the last hour and it seems like the consesus is its best to take it last..do you guys think this is true?

I get a few months to just study and try and pass part of the CPA exam so I thought I would try and tackle the harder parts while I wasn't working.

Also, the only study materials I get from my regional firm are gleim self study books..do you think theres any hope of me passing BEC with this? what else can i do thats not very expensive? (not working yet so not much money)

    Thank you very much.

hey everybody, i took BEC twice last year, third time coming up on 5/26 and to be honest, all the questions in becker and the material are exactly the same!!! this is the most frustrating part because the last time i took the exam i could have sworn i passed it and killed it, but i walked out with a 69!!! i felt more comfortable taking BEC the last time than i did when i passed REG last year as well.

If we are all having the same issues with the exam, how are people passing? they are just getting more lucky than the rest of us?

all i can say is that i'm totally stressed out again, and chapter 5 can kiss my butt from becker.. this is a bunch of nonsense.

    BEC: Done
    REG: Done
    AUD: Done
    FAR: Done

    I'M DONE!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
