@ErinBrookeTX: Good luck on your next exam! I don't remember any detials of my questions, when I left the testing room, I felt like I was hit by a truck 🙂 Oh well, no matter what the result, I will keep on going until I pass.

@MercyGrace: I think it is all due to the restructuring of the exam in 2011. Per my understanding BEC is the section, which has undergone the most changes. Nobody knows what to expect until a few exams in the new format are offered and all the study guides have time to prepare new homework questions. What I decided for myself is that even if I failed, I am not going to retake it right away, but will study for all the other sections first and then take BEC again. I am trying to maintain positive attitude though about this one. Best of luck to you in May.

Well I take the test tomorrow and I'm on pins and needles today trying to get through tax time. I'm kind of looking forward to kicking this test's butt and hoping it's not the other way around.

Home…it was interesting. We had tornados all over the state last nite so I couldn't study much the night before, luckily none here, just rain, hail and some high winds. Drive down was very windy and cold. It's 2 hours each way so not much fun. Test center was full of people taking the TOEFL so I had to wait instead of get in early like normal. Test was fair can't say cpaexcel didn't prepare me. I'd guess the mix was 60%40 or so theory to calculation and the % of each subject area pretty well stayed on target. I got a few of the corp governance ones but nothing that wasn't covered. I did use some supplemental material for calculation heavy areas that normally give me trouble like variances and EUs but once I figured out how to do them the ones in CPAexcel were on target. Not sure how I feel I did. This time I did notice the 2nd testlet was a little more difficult and the 3rd was at least as hard. Oh, and when I left I had a terrible migraine if that's any indication.

I did bring Jeff's ninja notes with me and went over them as I was waiting. Now it's a matter of waiting out the AICPA and all their craziness.

Looooong time viewer, first time poster. I don't think I would have survived this past year without this website! Everytime I want to give up I read posts on this website, pull myself back together and get back after it. I've got my second shot at bec coming up in a few weeks. Any thoughts on focus points for the last few weeks before the big exam?

    FAR- 75
    REG- 75
    AUD- 78
    BEC- 76 DONE!

Hello DHuffman and others 🙂 goodluck if you've recently taken the exam. Is it possible for you all to mention any unexpected specific FAR/REG/AUD topics seen on the exam? I was thinking of linking topics from BEC to other sections and studying thoroughly.. hope that makes sense. Please let me know if you think this would be helpful– starting to freak out about the unexpected material!
