Well, all thats left is to wait for scores(if anyone know approx. when Id get score back if took 4/9 let me know..)…I felt better when i left AUD but worse when I left FAR, so lets hope score is = 75<x<82…i know the 2nd testlet was harder than first, but couldnt tell by the 3rd

I cant say there were really any “surprises” on the test…despite what others have said, i had a good deal of calculations along with concept questions…really only 4 questions that i had NO IDEA what they were takling about, hopefully they were “test questions” that dont count

I finsihed the test with 5 minutes to spare, so had a chance to review my written comms (which werent bad at alll…but defintly related to other secs of CPA kind of tied in with BEC…so helped I already took FAR/AUD)

My next stop is REG (i am PRAYING i wont have to retake this section/struggling not to forget evrything)…Good luck studying to all!!! As usual, shoot me an email with any questions (ajferrer@loyoal.edu) ab it

We will probably receive our scores towards the end of June….It doesn't really matter when you sit since they are releasing them all in one wave instead of two. Are you taking REG in this test window?

I'm taking BEC tomorrow and I agree that some of the questions in the study material are ridiculous.. Hopefully they won't be like that on the test..

    AUD (2/12/11)- 86

Hey all – avid reader new poster 🙂 I read all the comments on the inevitability of COSO questions — would love some guidance on topics to cover.. I get the feeling Wiley doesn't cover this as well as they should. Thanks!!

I believe Becker covers this material well in the text; however, they do not go into a lot of detail on the lectures. They skipped through a lot of the context in the book. I also read Wiley's section on Corporate Governance. It seem like it lacked a lot of detail. Becker definitely wins my vote in this category (vs Wiley)!

    Hi everybody,

I just took BEC on Monday 4/11/2011. This is the first section of the CPA exam I am taking and I whish I took it last due to material overlap with FAR and REG. I had the same experience of seeing some questions on COSO, which were never covered in my study materials (Becker) at least in BEC textbook. In addition, one of my WC was more like a FAR topic, at least the question they asked wasn't covered in BEC. I felt that I was prepared coming in, but I left the testing room feeling that I failed. The wording of the questions was completely different from Becker MCQ, I was ok with math questions because at least you see the answer that you just calculated, but some of them seemed not necessary more difficult than Becker, but definitely more confusing (maybe it seemed that way because I wasn't used to that wording). It was my first try and first section, so at least I know what to expect at this point. I still have hope of passing, but given the amount of time I put into studying, I thought I would feel much better. If you are just thinking about taking the CPA, my advise would be to take BEC last.

I wish I could remember the questions from my last exam. This would have been helpful….I almost ran out of time myself. My written communication wasn't that great due to time constraint. I knew the topics but my responses weren't structured very well. I am not a great writer…I needed more time to organize my thoughts than I allowed myself that day. Lessons learned…I hope you passed! My rematch is scheduled for the 30th! I am studying the ancillary material harder this time around. I hope this prepares me a little bit better for ANYTHING that the exam might throw at me (COSO etc.). Back to studying…..

@CPAinmaking – I had the same experience on my BEC exam last February having COSO topics/questions not covered in my Becker material. I thought it was just my luck but maybe Becker missed the mark a little on COSO.

    BEC - 75 (Prayed Hard)
    AUD - 85 (Thanking God!)
    REG - 77 (Yes, Lord!!)
    FAR - 4/20/12
