    OMG, I passed BEC, first try, Not boasting, I am shocked, especially as I am middle aged haven;t taken a class in eons…and decades past my accounting degree, I am even more amazed!

    I will do a commercial for Cindy and Yaeger's review class combine with reading the outline of topics covered on the AICPA site ( don't overlook this step) and using it like a check list. I used the 2011 Yaeger BEC and Wiley book.

    I'm taking BEC on the 20th of April and I am having serious motivation problems. I find these topics to be very boring and I find my mind wandering. I have taken this exam two times and failed with a 74 and a 73. Oh well enough of my song and dance and back to studying

    @cpawannabema

    I hear ya'… this section is like the “junk drawer” of the CPA exam. Whatever doesn't fit into the other three exams is tossed into this one. Studying has been a pain since it covers so much material. I went through the Becker book and lectures (boring), watched the Roger Cram, and have gone through the Wiley book. My exam is coming up on 4/8… just going to hit MCQs like crazy until then.

    @auditd0rk

    I ordered the Wiley book to get additional MC questions to help supplement the Beckers lectures and MC. I am really hope it will put me over the 75 threshold this time

    cPAawl,

    I used Kaplan also for BEC and got a 71. Thre is way too much material for all their review courses. Unfortunately I have their AUD and REG which I got an 72 on AUD then took again 2011 and got a 66

    There are a ton of MCQs for BEC 5… most are quite involved. Do you understand variances? If so, perhaps you can skim through BEC 5. My exam is this Friday… i'm just about there, but spending the next couple days doing MCQs to make certain everything sticks. Also hoping the exam calculations are straightforward. Good luck on Saturday!

    I was just about to order Roger's BEC USB course because I thoguht his lectures would work well with my learning style – then I saw the price when I looked at my shopping cart and just about blew a gasket – even with the ‘fresh start discount'! The cost of the course isn't bad but the fees that are tacked on were a little too steep for my blood.

    I think I have some hot and steamy study dates up ahead with Pete, Tim, and Mike as I prepare for the final showdown with my Becker materials…Those boys got me up to gold status at the local starbucks in no time! 🙂

    Here's to all of us getting BEC conquered this window!!! 🙂
