AnonymousInactiveWithout specifics I would say the calculations I had to make were covered multiple times on mcq reviews only found a couple that seemed to be covered only once maybe twice. Wish i could help more.

AnonymousInactiveI took REG 02/18, found out last week I scored 72. I am taking BEC on 04/11 and am supposed to start studying for FAR on 04/16 but thinking about skipping it to push back my BEC test date/ take a break (and maybe retake REG). I would have to get a new NTS if I postpone FAR but I think the extra expense may be worth it because this process is going to make me crazy!! I am only on my second test and already feel burned out because I feel like I live in the movie “Groundhogs Day.” Work, study, work, study, repeat. Does anyone have any advice on how to stay motivated and focused with no almost no break between tests?
Also, any advice on how to get through Becker BEC5? I am trying to complete the 100+ HW sections and I feel like I didn't learn anything! I keep using the wrong calculations, or I don't know which one to use! Is working the problems over and over the best option or should I just start over with reading?

AnonymousInactiveAllison-I've been at this since Nov 08 so I know how you feel. Haven't had a vacation in 5 years. What I do is after each test I go and have dinner with friends I don't get so see often. Then I take a week between the next section. When I get my scores I'm usually in the middle of restudying but good or bad (I've had both now) I go out to the Japanese restaurant to either celebrate or commiserate. Either way.
I don't have to have a CPA for my job, won't get a huge raise or promotion but IF we ever move I have a portable career I can take anywhere. I've about reached the ropes end with the stupid crap being pulled by AICPA and NASBA so after I retake BEC and then FAR in May I'm taking a break come what may. In June I'm taking a vacation and when I get I'm getting my CFE. Since I do mostly govt. auditing it's actually useful for what I do and no one else has one where I work.

Thanks, that helps. Just wondering how long some of the calculations took to complete. Some of the Becker MCQs seemed like they took forever to get through. I presume those are adapted questions designed to make certain you understand the underlying concepts. I can't believe there would be too many of those exam since they only give you 3 hours.

AnonymousInactive@auditdOrk – is the Roger cram enough? I haven't been a big fan of the Wiley books…so I guess that is why i'm debating doing Roger's USB.
The Becker lectures are not very entertaining (like watching paint dry) which is why I think Roger caught my eye because I don't think I could tune him out the way I do Becker after a while. I guess my ultimate question is does the Becker book/lectures provide enough information to pick up on things with Roger's cram or does Roger's cram refer to a lot of things that tie back to his USB/Online/Live courses?
It's just amazing at what we'll pay to get those three little letters.

I don't think the Roger Cram would be enough on its own. I went through the Becker chapters and picked up the fundamentals and then have been reading the Wiley book to fill in the gaps. This weekend I'm watching Roger to help me pull it all together – he seems to cover the major topics. I used his Cram to tie AUD together – I thought it really helped me for that exam.
