musicamorMemberFor all those BEC people that need some study tools, e-mail me for a workbook of calculations, definitions, and problems that I developed (which earned me and 85 on BEC this last go around). I also have a narrative I drafted on the written portion. musicamor02@msn.com

Heavy_PourMemberI am taking the Becker FastPass this summer and have also been using http://www.khanacademy.com. I wish I would have realized how much Khan can help to give a refresher on the more complex issues covered in the Becker material sooner. The macro and micro stuff is explained much better by Khan. I am now using Khan as a last review before I take BEC tomorrow. And khan is free.
R – 84
B – 8/23/12
A – soon
F – sooner

futuremdcpaMember@KngsTunYaardy316 – I didn't use the notes. I did all the MCQ's 2-3 times, and just read the BEC book. I hated studying for it.
I take AUD next week, any advice?!
REG: PASS || BEC: PASS || AUD: PASS || F: SCORE PENDING..

gilbewcMember@KngsTunYaardy316 I just got my BEC score today and got a 78, but failed the first time with a 71. Both times I took the exam, the IT questions were off the wall. I knew a couple of them but most I had to narrow down to 2 and guess from there or just guess blindly. I did every IT practice M/C question I had available and they didn't prepare me overall. It looks like many others had the same experience. If it were me, I probably would not spend a ton of time trying to master the IT area.
FAR - 65, 71, 78(5/29/13)
REG - 70, 80
BEC - 71, 78

KngsTunYaardy316MemberThanks you guys: @futuremdcpa and @gilbewc- now I can master the stuff that actually is familiar- God knows I don't want to miss points b/c I didn't memorize a stinkin formula
@futuremdcpa- as for advice on audit if your using Becker know section 2,3, (if Yaeger or Roger 2,3,4,6) the best you can do is try your best on section 4 (tranxs cycles), but don't stress it cause I never saw a enough from that section to make me worry and plus unless your familiar w/ audit procedures and the like, it's tough to get it down. Make sure you know section 2 especially Compilations, Reviews, and Attest- know it well- on my last two test I saw a good amount from there and they were easy points b/c I just knew the rules- the question on that stuff were pretty straight forward too. Know your internal control and planning- Gary Bulmash- Yaeger CPA review, did awesome job IMO preparing me for those questions-Peoples he dry and they can't listen to him blah, blah, blah- its thanks to him my familiarity w/ the material that helped me gain 14pts- just being able to know what the question is asking you in terms of, is it asking about Internal control, a substantive test, risk assessment or analytical procedure is the key if you can pick on that and the key words your golden- I'll look through my stuff tonight and make sure I told you the right sections- As for the sims practice a few just to get familiar but don't spend a lot of time b/c every time other than the first time I took the test the sims came from MARS lol nah but they were nothing like I studied mostly financially based- oh and don't forget to use the search it helped-
