KngsTunYaardy316MemberDoes anybody know why there is a short-term interest savings associated with account receivables- Problem 52 from Module 44 in the BEC Wiley book-
The question asks, “What effect would the implementation of this new credit policy have on income before taxes?” The new credit policy reduces your total income by 5%, this reduction in income is netted against a 10% “interest savings” for the less account receivables you have due to stricter credit policy. I don't get why interest is associated with A/R if you usually don't charge int. on A/R to begin w/. The only time I can remember int. being associated w/ A/R is when a company is going to use A/R to finance something- Anybody thoughts please??

KngsTunYaardy316MemberNever mind guys lol- I think I have it-
Although sales and A/R are reduce, the reduction in A/R frees up cash that is now able to be invested at rate of 10%. Which equates to a savings or a “counter” inflow of cash that offsets the loss in sales.

Stay_PositiveParticipantBEC on 8/31. This will be my 3rd time. I have re-watched all Yaeger videos and am listening to Ninja audio on my way to and from work and anywhere in between. My question is really how many MCQs are good per day leading up to test day. I can get through about 40 per day (weekdays) by reviewing how I did it wrong and re-working the question so I can come up with the right answer on my own, but I feel like this isn't enough questions to review per day. I've already worked most of the MCQs after watching the videos this last time.
How many MCQs are you doing per day leading up to upcoming close of window???

JeremyMemberI was doing 100-150 a day for four or five days before the exam, but I was lucky enough to be on break from school and not have a job, so I could spend all day doing them.

KngsTunYaardy316MemberI'm doing about as many as Jeremy, 100 is the least you should do a day, but the key is like he said if your not working or if your just a beast! Do as many as you can it builds endurance for test day.
My third attempt at wretched test too- IMO this is the most demanding test next to FAR- I mean they're 1A and 1B. smh

nbad311MemberSo I moved on to studying BEC last week after sitting for REG (8/12) because I had an extremely slow week at work. ( I feel like I'm cheating on the REG forum by being over here in BEC btw). I scheduled my BEC exam a while ago, for 10/1. I think the timing is still good – even if I fail REG, I need to move on, at least for a while as I don't think I could sit for REG 3 times in a row. Any general pointers? BEC is completely new to me. The writing part doesn't frighten me because I went to a liberal arts college that ill-prepared me for accounting but I can write a serious(ly awesome) business memo when need be. I feel a solid 5-6 weeks will be ample study time.
REG - 65, 70, 80!
BEC - 35, 62, 79!
AUD - 73, 75!
FAR - 65, 73, 70, 75! DONE.August 20, 2012 at 12:50 pm #467444

I have not taken BEC yet ( not till Aug 31st.) So can't really give you any pointers on actual exam. However, I can give you this pointer…. If you are a fellow Beckerer…..Don't let chapters B2 and B3 discourage you. Just plow right through those mofos. 4, 5, and 6 get much better. Honestly, BEC scares the hell out of me.
10/03/12 AUD- 91!!!
12-07-12 BEC- 75!!! (Half way)
01/18/13 REG - 68, 78.

KngsTunYaardy316MemberAnybody have any advice for the IT section- what was your strategy of studying for it? Did the NINJA notes help on test and for those that used Becker did the note cards help?
