    HI @mgoloubenko!!!

I saw your post and just wanted to say HI!! I remember how stressed we were with FAR…hahaha!! Thank goodness that is over! Good Luck with BEC. I would definitely recommend getting the Wiley Supplement. It helped me out immensly 🙂 I finally finished!!! My journey has come to an end, but I still like to come on here to give any tips (if anybody finds them useful). Good luck!!!

@ mgoloubenko: It seems like you blew through B3,B4, and B5 in a week? How did you do it? I just finished B3 today, but I am having a hard time moving quickly because the problems require a lot of computation. Are you writing down all the formulas as you go or are you just doing problems? I hope to finish B4 and B5 this week. That would make me feel great.

@ dualmatrix: I am glad I am not the only “slow” one. I feel like I went through the lectures and homework for the other sections much more quickly than for BEC. I am about to start on B4 now. I am not even completing all of the optional questions for each section– I will go back once I am done with all of them.

B4 and B5 (which I am just finishing) are going much quicker than B3. I still agree with you guys though, these sections seem to be going much slower than the previous two I have completed.

My goal is to go through two modules a week and I'm not working so I have time to work through the problems. I'm finishing B6 this coming week so I'll have a lot of time for review but I'm mostly concerned about the fact that a lot of people say Becker is not enough for BEC!

@Cyn637! Congratulations on being done! So proud of you and happy that you finally have your life back! Any advice on how to really nail BEC, what did you do the second time that really pushed you over the edge? 🙂

    FAR 4/9/12- PASSED
    BEC 7/13/12- PASSED
    AUD 8/16/12- Ughhh 71, Rematch: 90!!!
    REG-12/6/12 PASSED

    USC MAcc- Fight on!

They say good things come to those who wait, but only those things that are left by those who hustle.

@mgoloubenko: Thank you! I actually feel guilty when I come home and have nothing to do. lol! Usually I was always scrambling the minute I got home from work in order to study every single minute of the remaining day. Now I can actually nap when I get home from work or hit the gym and finally cook a nice healthy meal. Soon you will be able to do the same I am sure of it 🙂

As for BEC, well, I read the blogs on here and a lot of people said that Becker was not enough so I purchased the Wiley test bank. Personally, I felt that Becker was not enough. My exam was ridiculously hard. Not because the questions were hard, but because I didn't understand what they were asking. Becker may be suitable as long as you keep in mind that the questions are not worded like Becker. This is why I liked Wiley. It introduced me to different types of questions even though the concept was the same. Keep that in mind for this exam. I cannot emphasize that enough. I strongly felt that Becker was great for FAR, AUD, REG. I felt that the questions were worded very similiar so you instantly knew what they were asking, but I can't say I feel the same about BEC. The questions were not even remotely similiar. Maybe it was just my exam, maybe I didn't focus on the theory as much as I should have, but many people on this blog can reiterate the same thing so I know I am not the only one. Just know the theory. I got a lot of theory problems and a few calculations (which were not easy). I literally thought I failed. I was sure of it. The W/C is a piece of cake. Honestly, if English is your first language then you have NOTHING to worry about. I didn't even practice the W/C's. Suuuuuper easy on very easy topics. Time management was tough once again. Maybe I'm just a slow test taker but I used up all my time. I read and re-read my essays because those are really easy points. I used Becker 2011 ED and I would like to say that my exam was more like the final Exam #2 in Becker. I also felt that the AICPA release questions for 2011 and 2012 were suuuper easy compared to my exam. Maybe I did really well on the first testlet so that is why I felt my exam was really hard, but I found this exam to be the most difficult. At the same time, I may have stressed out a little more than usual because it was my last exam. I posted on the Exam Experience about my exam. Hopefully that helps! Just read and re-read that Becker book!!! Know everything. I did feel that Becker focused on IT more than neccessary. I literally got 2 IT questions and they were suuuuper easy. But then again, some people got hit with a lot of IT questions.

I'm sure you will do great! You will pass with flying colors. As long as you put in your hours you will be fine 🙂 I'm sure of it!!!!! Good luck!!!!!

@mgoloubenko – sounds like we are on a similar path! I am finishing 5 & 6 lectures this week, exam date is 7/13. I have changed my study routine a little each time, for BEC I am moving through lecture quickly and plan to go back an finish all the MCQ's after. (for AUD / FAR I tried to do one lecture then all MC before moving on to next section) I like getting through all the info and having a better grasp on what all will be covered. I am also – dare I say – “enjoying” BEC after finishing FAR. I'm not complaining near as much as I had been, still wish I had my life back but eventually I will. I hope I'm not overconfident going into this one but I feel good at the moment.

    AUD 85 (2/12) Using Becker
    FAR 81 (5/12)
    BEC 79 (7/13)
    REG 85 (10/1)
