    BEC is a killer…there are too many random non-sense questions on the test (IT) that doesn't matter to an actual CPA. I think it's a bit impossible to fully prepare for this exam as it requires random industry knowledge. I am praying that I pass this time, otherwise I will loose credit for FAR and REG and AUD!!!

    I think I am in the worst case scenario………… -_-

    FAR: 77
    REG: 76
    AUD: 82
    BEC: 5/31/12

    Good luck OKCauditor!

    Question to all:

    Why is debt taxed when calculating the WACC?

    @CashMoney, I think we compute debt net of tax because it has fixed financing charges and interest expense is deductible…

    @CashMoeny 10

    It is not taxed, it is the tax shield for the interest you pay. Interest is tax deductible. That how I understood it. Correct me if I'm wrong.

    Thanks EEL & cornelizza

    It is the tax shield. It is the (proportion*(1-TR))*return

    Proportion and return might be flipped, I'll have to go back to my notes.

    I did my re-test this past Saturday, and, honestly, I think it went much smoother than last time. Then again, who knows… **sigh** 10 days till score release, and I seriously need to pass this time around. Keeping fingers crossed!

    Does anyone have some magical formula in preparing for the WC? I mean, you are liable to get ANY topic–how do you adequately prepare for that? I know you can get the spelling, grammar, etc down pat; the conceptual preparation is near impossible, right?

    I am taking BEC tomorrow after having passed it in 2010.
