    RE: Musicamor

I believe your are correct the answer is B because you would actually enter into a forward contract to sell treasury notes for delivery in the future much like a put option. If interest rates increase the value of the treasury notes would decline resulting in a gain when it is sold. If the hedge is effective, the gain will offset the increase in the firm's interest costs.

What I find difficult with BEC is that the theory questions in the actual exam can be quite tricky: They require a level of understanding that seem more application base than concept and a couple multiple choice options can be possible answers but you have to select the best one; the wording can be confusing too. This was my experience after taking the test a second time today. While waiting for my BEC score I guess I will study REG next…how exciting…I can't wait…ugh!

    Good luck to all.

F - Passed...THANK YOU, LORD. GLORY TO GOD.
B - Passed...THANK YOU, LORD. GLORY TO GOD.
A - Passed...THANK YOU, LORD. GLORY TO GOD.
R - Passed...THANK YOU, LORD. GLORY TO GOD.

Taking BEC tomorrow. I passed REG with an 88 using only the 2012 Wiley review book and test bank, so I went with the same approach for BEC. I've answered all 700 questions in the book and all 700 questions from the test bank, as well as re-taking 100 questions that I answered incorrectly. I've been getting between 75%-80% on the testlets. I haven't practiced writing any of the WC, but have read the answers a few times. I'm going to re-read the IT section today to maybe get some of those random definitions to stick. Does anyone have any last minute review advice to squeeze a few extra points out of the test? I'm really hanging in the balance on this one.

I feel like BEC is a sick joke. I passed Reg and thought it was difficult, yet managable.

I did well in all in college in all of the classes that relate to BEC (without much studying). Unfortunately, it has been 2 years plus since I took those classes (I graduated in June 11′ and my last year was primarily accounting and electives)

BEC seems insanely difficult. I only hope I am psyching myselft out. 12 more days to study….

It really isn't that bad man trust me.

A lot of the questions are straight forward no tricks.

know all calculations/formulas like the back of your hand to save time.

do a few wc practice… you can easily bs your way around this part.

    BEC: 66 | 69 | 7/23/2013

Roach I hope so. So far it seems crazy. It takes forever to get through the questions (becker computational questions). Not having high hopes for this one. Taking @end of May.

    R - 74;88
    A - 84
    B - 74;89
    F - no study = 67; May 15 = 87 & done
