Does anyone have any advice as to how to approach the IT section? I am just…blown away. The information is so tedious, boring, and it's just 80 pages of definitions practically. The MCQs in Becker focus on the most nuanced tidbit of info, and I am finding it impossible to try to understand every definition. I am getting a lot wrong, but how do I retain every piece of boring IT knowledge? I really just do not even know where to start. Ughhhh. This is my first time studying for a section of the exam, and I am ready to throw my computer out the window.

    BEC: (4/2012) 88
    AUD: (5/2012) 91
    REG: (8/2012) 82
    FAR: (1/2013) 78 🙂

@KatieK-I'm with you. I wish I could get past B1! I'm stuck in a rut and need to get back into study mode fast.

I understand what you mean about this site. It's like crack. Okay, I won't bug you anymore! Stay focused! Put away that mop and get your CPA! LOL!

I just got done studying FAR 2011 version and have started BEC 2012. The format is much better in the 2012 version of Becker. Anyway, there are a ton of questions per section and each lecture is close to 2 hours long. My question is was it like this in 2011 version of BEC or is this just the way BEC is compared to other sections? Can I expect to see this in all the sections moving forward. If so I like the 2011 versions better because they seem more broken up. I guess with smaller lectures and related # of problems I felt like I was progressing; now it takes so long to get through the lecture I dont feel like I'm getting any where.

    Thanks

    FAR 69, 74, 78
    REG 69, 69, 69, 82
    BEC 75
    AUD 76

Anyone using the Wiley Book for BEC? I used the Wiley book solely for REG and did fine, but BEC is so eclectic that I'm a little worried.

    Hi Bamer101,

I am using the Wiley book for BEC, but only using it for the MCQ. I am using becker as my primary study material. I haven't started looking at the questions yet from Wiley until I finish Becker questions, but it seems like Becker has way more questions than Wiley. Anyone else using both?

    AUD - Passed 88
    REG - Passed 87
    BEC - Passed 78
    FAR - Passed 75

Also does anyone know the difference between the Wiley Book MCQ vs. the Test Bank? Does the Test Bank have more questions?

    AUD - Passed 88
    REG - Passed 87
    BEC - Passed 78
    FAR - Passed 75

Wiley said there us about 10% overlap in the questions from book to Test Bank.
