    Hello,

I need input/advice on which accounting software to purchase. I am taking BEC cpa exam again after failing numerous times under Becker CPA review course. This is the last cpa exam I need to pass!

Please provide your input. I am undecided between YAEGER or ROGERS cpa review online courses.

They both cost around $400……so this is a big investment on my end.

Which one do you recommend? Please provide your feedback as I will greatly appreciate your advice 🙂

(need to desperately pass BEC in Jan/Feb 2012 window as I don't have anymore patience nor time……..thank you)

@ macistna95 – I am currently using CPAexcel for BEC. I failed the first time with a 70. I didn't use a review program though, only went through multiple choice questions using Wiley. Having a familiarity with the exam I am feeling pretty good about my upcoming test in January using the program. I struggled with the variance questions before but have a solid understanding of them now. The program teaches you to calculate them a different and simpler way compared to the Wiley textbook. Also the self-study version is only $265. I tried the videos but didn't get a whole lot out of them. For the most part they just read through the slides and text. I also recommend to supplement with the Wiley online tesbank to identify any weaknesses once you have mastered CPAexcel's program.

    I really hate BEC. It's so confusing…

    B 2/12 87
    A 11/11 90
    R 8/11 86
    F 5/12 88

Does anyone have any advice/tips for variance analysis. I seem to really struggle with the two and three-way variances.

I gave my BEC in November 2011 and failed, and my NTS Expiration date is 03/27/2012. Can anyone please explain me how the re-registration works? and a massachusetts student, I need to pay only examination fees for re-test or examination fee + registration fees?

@Casey—- Roger helped me with variances https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2y7qzvE-XA

@Parina, you have to pay for that section again, plus a registration fee :/ I think REG was $200 bucks +75 registration fee (under NY) and I had to take it 3 times, a whole lot of exam fees for that one >:o It can really add up…Go to NASBA.com, then to apply now, you'll have to sign in. Sorry you failed. What's your plan of attack this time?

I'm really hating BEC right now.. was feeling really confident. Then did the Becker final review questions in the final review software.. got my butt kicked 🙁

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

@Peanut..thanks..This time plan is to give proper attention to costing and financial management and I am making my own notes and trying to do as many MCQ as possible. Can you please tell me one more thing is it a better to get myself registered for two papers rather than just one, as I am quite confident this time…and that way I will be able to save oney as well..Cause as far as NTS funda goes it like one NTS is valid for 6 months right?
