Reading all these posts is making me nauceous… taking BEC for the first time and my first section on the 26th. I'm using becker and have gotten like 50s 60s on the HWs so far and the cost accounting and wacc calculations are killing me. I just feel like I don't have enough time to do the prep I need… so nervous…

Any advice? I have 3 vacation days, the wednesday – friday before my saturday exam (yes, no thanksgiving this year… too scared of tryptophan and I'm using all my time away from work to focus).

Try to put in as much quality studying as you can. You have 5 full days till then!

Otherwise, I believe you can still reschedule if your NTS allows it.

I took my BEC today. The MCQ was ok, The first couple question is all calculation, I am kind of worry about my time, but it's not that much as i thought. Now I m just worry about the WC, i didn't study that much for that, all i did is remember some concepts and read becker simulation solution once. becaz i think its hard to prepare, but maybe i am wrong, there is one i don't even know how to write at all and i already forget the question after i came out from the exam. Hope i can get 75:(

I took BEC on 11/14 (yay for Sundays) and I felt that it was okay. I only had one week vacation to study for BEC, which I thought would've been easier for me than FAR (I took FAR 11/4). I was soooo wrong. Studying for BEC was MUCH harder than studying for FAR. While FAR is more voluminous, if you are fresh out of college, alot of the stuff you remember, if not the calculations at least the concept/topic wheras they don't scare you as much. For me, alot of BEC was like a foreign language to me. I did Cost Accounting in college, but it was taught differently. And remembering all the BEC formulas was definitely a challenge. I almost cancelled my exam but I didn't. I took the exam, and to my surprise, I did not feel THAT terrible about it. I feel like it could've gone either way. I felt good though, not crying as I was after REG, but not as good as I felt after AUD. I may have passed it after all…my fingers are crossed. My written communications were disappointing because 2 were heavily FAR related, so thank God I had just done FAR a few days prior and was able to remember some of the information. And Becker's MCQ's were actually harder than what I got on my exam. Unless I missed some tricks, I felt good about them. Whether I have passed or failed, the BEC exam has taught me that the CPA exam as a whole is very passable. As much as I walked into that exam wanting to cry, I was pleasantly surprised. And even with not knowing as much as I would've liked and not being as comfortable as I would've liked, I still feel good, so imagine had I REALLY felt comfortable with the material going in. I am just hoping and praying and eating lots of ice cream (my comfort food)until Monday rolls on by and I can find out my results.

How has the score release target date been thus far? Did they truly release on their “target” date for the first 20 days of the testing window? Because I don't want to get my hopes up about receiving my score on Monday only to be disappointed that they did NOT meet their target.

I am going to start studying using Becker for the BEC exam on November 30th. Is this time-frame realistic if I don't have work or classes, just studying? My plan is to have 1 day to complete each chapter, then 5 days of a final review.

Let me know if you guys think that is a reasonable and realistic study plan or not…

    Any special tips for BEC?

    REG: 73 73 79
    AUD: 64 64
    BEC: 11/30
