@Operation_CPA
As you wish, “things get easier soon after Becker Chapters 2/3”. 🙂
My difficulties & comments about Becker chapters (from the easiest):
Chapter 3 (cost accounting) — simple & easy, like your first accounting class in college
Chapter 4 (cost accounting) — a lot of material, however a math lovers should be okay with this chapter
Chapter 1 / Chapter 5
Chapter 1 (Corp.Gov & Fin.Risk Management) — Corp. Gov (nicely covered by Pete, however terrible on the exam) & Fin. Risk Management (FAR material in more details… may hate it, but do your best)
Chapter 5 (economics) — loved in college, hate on the CPA exam (the way it is tested)
Chapter 2 (financial) — a LOOOOOT of material; a LOOOOT of points on the exam; just keep pushing and it will click (I would not expect to master this chapter, but who knows)
Chapter 6 (some misc. crap & IT) — it doesn't matter what you do, the exam is testing MUCH more! May be easier for computer/technology people
Not sure you, but I started appreciating Mike & Angie (just wish she does not speak with the speed of light)
My additional comment: do NOT mark the book the way Becker recommends you to do it. Read on your own first, make notes, listen and make additional notes. Someone who was on this forum last testing window recommended this strategy. Well, I extremely support his studying strategy!! Wish I knew him sooner!! Search for his posts. Think he was under RB.
Best of luck! Yes, it gets easier after Chapter 2 🙂
