I’ve had a few requests for April/May Study Groups…March will be here before you know it.

In order to take an early April exam, you should begin studying…now. 🙂

Just finished my audit exam. I know no one knows for sure but what is the consensus regarding progressive testing,ie, test getting easier and harder? I feel like my first set of mc were pretty tough. Probably flagged 10 or so. My second set was medium hard and the third set was a breeze. I only had 1 research, but definitely had two far sims. I don't feel very good about it. I feel like a lot of times I would know the answer to a multiple choice but then couldn't decipher the answer out of the answer choices. I feel pretty bummed about having to start my studies over. And need advice on how to hone my skills to result in a passing grade, if in fact I did fail as I suspect.

Here's a little off topic question. As soon as i got done with my sims i was trying to figure out how to submit my test so i could leave. I decided to go with the “quit” button i pressed quit twice and on the third time i was like hmmm maybe this isnt right. So i pressed continue and the rest is history. If i would of quit the exam would i of lost it?

@cpachance, My 4 words of advice. Dedication, Time, and hard work. There is no “definitive” way to pass this test. But putting for a reasonable amount of time, dedication to studying (weekends are for AUD not BARS), and replacing anyother fun activities in your life with studying. You will be assured you put your best effort into it and that is all you can really do to pass these tests.

@eliasm, I've seen that question come up in some older topics. If you had quit the exam, I think you would have been fine (as you did answer all questions and simulations), but I'm not sure if you would have gotten to fill out the survey at the end. Can you still get that confirmation paper from Prometric when you quit an exam? I forget.

Did you end up taking it today, @eliasm? Your signature still says 5/30.

Anyway, I just wrapped up the MCQs for Becker exam test 2. Those were some tough questions! I hate when there are three or more questions in a row that you feel pretty bad about; it sort of kills your confidence. I got an 80% on them, at least. That said, remembering when which reports are and aren't restricted use is going to kill me if it comes up on the exam.

@jamesbjames i take it on fri. i Almost quit on the FAR exam. But yea the 2nd one if tough i took it. The questions are very ambiguous. The first question of the 3rd testlet was stupid, so vague its dumb.

The guy who posted about *** not only misleading folks, but skirted a very fine line in terms of disclosure. It doesn't matter if its ***, ***, ***, or ***. If you understand the basic underlying audit concepts – which is clear he did not, judging by his post – you will be fine.

From what ive seen from the becker sims AJE for improper recordings is very easy. Example, the company recognized sale in year 2 when it was actually supposed to be recognized in year 3. debit sales rev and credit A/R for year 2, done and easy.
