Any body have any suggestions on how to nail down the wording in the audit reports? Is it more important to memorize key phases?

@gregt60 from what I understand and have seen in MCQs so far, yes you need to know the key phases and phrases..Esp the placement of certain words in paragraphs. Becker has quite a few mnemonics to help memorize the imp ones. What materials are you using? If they don't provide any such memorizing tools you might want to make your own mnemonics

@ayafzal78. I am using Becker, but was told to memorize the whole thing not just the key phrases. I had some conflicting information so I thought I would see what everyone on here thought. I have no problem in memorizing the key phrases for the standard report, compilation, review. I was worried I would have to re-write the whole thing from Title to Other-Matter Paragraph on a simulation haha

Not that it couldn't happen, but I can't imagine having to write a report for a sim!

@sm I'm using Becker and the 10 point combo.. I still don't know how to study for this. It is a retake.. Blah!! Haha

I am thinking about just jumping right into it the 17 or 18 of April. I am waiting on my NTS… I'm sooo ready to be finished!!!

If we have to write an audit report word for word in a sim, I'm using the authoritative literature…the full wording is in the AU (I'll have to look up the exact reference again, but I know I ran into it when I was searching for something else).

I'm just starting A2 (Becker) and I am so over this already. Not good. After starting a BA, then Masters, and now the CPA – i've been in school full time or studying full time while working full time for too long. I took this past weekend almost completely off of studies and perhaps I shouldn't have. It felt so good to not have to sit in front of my computer or books.

Too tired to keep going….but must.

beat_counter how do you get access to AL? I hv only used the one thru becker sims. Is there another way and is that one not the same as the one in Becker?

I don't use Becker, so I am not sure how it looks like.

I have Wiley Exam Review that came with Roger last year, it's a paper version.

With online TB, I can do the research in the browser, but in my analog paper textbook I need to do a research with an access to AL.

You can get an access once you get a NTS#.

My third shot at AUD starts tonight. Its my last section!!! I am sooo ready to be done with this. I am using Northern Illinois University's CPA Review program and Gleim MCQ test bank. I am hoping to test in late April/ early May (right before vacation!!). Good luck everyone!!

I will start studying for AUD soon after my first pass in BEC, and I have no idea what materials to get! Becker and I did not get along for BEC, so I switched to Wiley and finally passed. Was wondering if I should stick with that.

Looks like A3 will not be done till after tomorrow. How is everyone else doing? Do you guys think 14 days to review Audit would be sufficient? I am panning to finish all sections by Sun March, 23. And the start reviewing from Mon 24. Hopefully I'll be in a good shape to take the exam on the 5th/7th of April.
