    I’ve had a few requests for April/May Study Groups…March will be here before you know it.

    In order to take an early April exam, you should begin studying…now. 🙂

    Thanks ayafzal, I will check both of those out! I don't know why those are so tough for me.

    Scarletknight, those were part of the original GAAS standards for auditors:

    T- Training and Proficiency

    I – Independency

    P – Professional Due Care

    Standards of Fieldwork (PIE)

    P – Planning and Supervision

    I – Internal Control

    E – Evidence

    A4 has a decent amount of adjusting entries and ratios simulations…I plan on really really honing in on them. If the exam has anything similar to that stuff I think I shld be ok but if they hv anything more involved…Ugh!! that would not be good!!

    And Seatleacct you are right bat the AICPA sample exam. The sim with IR and CR was a little tricky! I only got one right.

    Trek-O-Trick(Fil-Am),

    I hope this finds you well. You're doing the right thing – praying and studying. Prayer and studying got me through my last exam. Thank you for your prayers. I'll be holding you up in prayer as well and may you be healed quickly.

    I say CP you say A!! enjoyed it 🙂

    finishing review of the sims from Becker. Took me all day to do the sims. Do you guys think Becker sims are enough or is it worth doing sims from Wiley as well?

    I am also planning to take final exam 1 tonight. Kinda nervous about it.

    Just took Becker final 1. Made a very stupid mistakes like not reading the question and choosing the most likely instead of least likely!!

    I am not sure how to analyze the scores though.. Got 71/90 in MCQs and 43/55 in Sims. How do I get a total from this?

    @jas

    Everytime I have sat for a test, I have studied different. Each test even each retake requires something a little different in my opinion. I have friends that study the exact same way and come out passing all of the test too! I say all that to say you have to find what works for you!!

    I have used the ninja approach for my BEC pass. I watched all the videos/lectures first. Then I took notes and then zillions of mcq's and then review my notes.

    For my financial pass, I watched the lectures and took separate notes. As I finished each lecture I would do some of the questions on that specific topic. Then I went into review mode. I wrote down every question I got wrong in a notebook along with every journal entry. I then just did zillions of mcq. Also I spent one night on the really big topics like pensions, leases, bonds, ect, I also listened to ninja audio during my commutes and at the gym! I would listen to the audio once or twice while reading through the ninja notes.

    Look through all the study groups and you will find different ways to study! Everyone does it different.

    @ragepsn good luck for tomorrow, I m sure u will do great

    @Ivr, when r u taking the test? I am taking it on 18th April, and really nervous. Right now I m scoring somewhere between 75-85% on WTB. Do u think its good enough? At this point I am not confident about AUD at all compared to when I took FAR

    REG 81
    BEC 74,65,78
    FAR 79
    AUD 85 DONE!!!

    My test is Thursday! When I took my other test I wasn't even scoring in the 75-85% range. I would get a passing score here and there but I never was consistent with my quiz scores. For the first time ever, my average score in WTB is actually over 75 and I'm nervous that I'm doing somethin wrong! I'm sure you'll be okay! Just keep studying.. keep going over your weak areas! Let's finish this thing!!!

    {R: PASSED!! (I passed one!)}
    {B: PASSED!! (Halfway there!)}
    {F: PASSED!! (1 left!!!)}
    {A: PASSED(I am done!!)}

    I think I may (hopefully) understand Inherent Risk and Control Risk when it comes to simulations, (like on the sample AICPA exam).

    Inherent risk can't be stopped by any controls that you have in place. Control Risk can be avoided or minimized if you do have the right controls in place. IR also usually is more prevalent in complex situations or due to factors outside of the entity's controls.

    Here's a link to the AICPA definition (p. 1652, AU 312.20): https://www.aicpa.org/Research/Standards/AuditAttest/DownloadableDocuments/AU-00312.pdf
