I will be writing Reg in July and I used Wiley note and test bank plus Ninja for my previous exams. Has anyone used the Ninja MCQ for regulation? I don't think I am ready to spend 150 bucks on WTB when I can buy Ninja MCQ for $47. Has anyone used both MCQs for review and how do they compare, how many MCQ are in both? Is it advisable to replace the WTB with the Ninja MCQ? I intend to buy the Audio too. Please all suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks guys!

I took REG back on the 17th. I started out with WTB but then Jeff released the NINJA MCQ and because it was so cheap and better looking I switched to that with 3 weeks before my test. I cannot be happier with that choice and all the extra features that comes with the NINJA MCQ.

Hey guys! I have around 40-50 hours of studying left before I take REG. I am using Wiley Focus Notes as my primary text & made notes from WTB. I have decided that I will either read the Wiley Text Tax chapters or watch the CPAexcel videos on tax topics only. Which one should I choose? I have an average speed of reading. For the videos I will make notes.

    Thanks and good luck y'all!

I am confused with the conditions where it mentions that cash basis of accounting can be chosen by an entity IF FOR EVERY YEAR IT HAS AVERAGE ANNUAL GROSS RECEIPTS of $5mill or less FOR ANY PRIOR 3 YEAR PERIOD .

Does it mean that we have to take average of 3 years gross receipts or does it mean that one years receipts is 5 million out of the 3 year period.

There are other conditions like that .. just mentioned this one for example.

    Corporations are exempt from AMT:

    In year one = Nil

In year two = If year one gross receipts were less than $5 Million

In year three = If the average gross receipts for years 1 and 2 were less than $7.5 Million

In year four and beyond = If the average from the previous 3 years is less than $7.5 Million

    Hope I answer your confusion!

I am really frustrating about the SIMS because WTB SIMS did not provide anything in the form except Line1, Line2, in Form 6251. Is this real exam scenario or Real exam provides Full form to fill the numbers?

If the real exam didn't provide any forms means do we need to memorize those lines?

Anyone came across this problem in REG SIMS? If its a part of disclosure about the exam, please forgive me šŸ™

you don't need to memorize the forms, don't be ridiculous!

All you need to do is to UNDERSTAND the concepts.

Besides, SIMS on the exam were nothing close to Wiley (mine at least). No drop-down menus, just blank squares for entering the calculations. Kinda brutal in my opinion….

My exam was brutal!!!!!!!!! (Frankly, they all are same way lol)

Basically, MCQ were ok, SIMS were way too complex….. Im pretty sure I got the research question though!!!! haha

    How was AUD?

considering i studied 2 weeks for it,it was far more less torturous than i thought it would be. MCQs were medium hard (or so i think) and SIMS were actually not bad. Two research. In my almost all previous exams i would always pass on research qs but this time i had plenty of minutes left to spare so i was so happy actually finding correct answers finally. I think i might even have a chance

Crossing fingers for us šŸ™‚ hopefully, last time

Can anyone clarify this for me?

Property may be sold by a father to a daughter at any price. When is the transaction not allowed to be recognized for tax purposes?

    A. When the sale is for a profit

    B. When the father breaks even on the sale

    C. When the father loses money

    D. All of the answer choices are allowed.

Answer is C. I thought it was D because I thought you could never recognize a gain or a loss when you sell to a close relative.
