TargetCPAParticipant@ Finishorgiveup,
S-Corp is fairly easy compared with C-Corp.
S corp and partnership is going to be simple from my perspective.
I am going to start watching Partnership lectures tomorrow. How about your progress going?

FinishorgiveupMemberThank you for checking on me. Man, I am still behind, I have to finish Becker chapter 3 also with tons of questions from Wiley, simulation, etc. this week.
This week is going to be a really busy week to me.
I'll move on to partnership next week.
Keep in touch

TargetCPAParticipant@ Finishorgiveup,
Don't feel depressed when you are falling behind in your schedule.
Quality is important rather than Quantity. In my case, its a boring process until finishing all videos. Once watching videos and notes taking process finished, it will be a play time with MCQs.
Are you in the process of doing MCQs?

KemyParticipantHello All!!! Just took Audit today and to kill the one month wait for score releases, I'm getting ready to start studying for REG – Good luck to everyone who's taking REG in April/May!!!
I have a review material question for anyone who's willing to answer. I've used Yaeger/WTB/Ninja Flascards, Audio, and Notes so far for both FAR and AUD. Cindy's lectures through Yaeger were awesome. I had a hard time following Phil when he taught some of the FAR lessons though. I even had a harder time following along with Gary on AUD. I really relied more on the Ninja material for AUD and felt I was well prepared for the exam today. I just realized that Phil is teaching all of REG through the Yaeger review. EEK – I don't think I can follow him alone through that much material!!! My brother is also studying for the CPA and he is using Becker. I'm contemplating using my brother's Becker REG material – Any thoughts???
You'd think I'd know the answer after reading this… https://www.another71.com/cpa-exam-forum/topic/becker-vs-yaeger

TargetCPAParticipant@ Kemy,
Welcome aboard. Sorry I am not using Yaeger but seeing your scores in FAR.
I am just curious to know about your study method.
Can you please share your study plan if you don't mind?

KemyParticipantOkay, so don't think I sat here and typed all this just now. I wrote up this email for my brother a few weeks back. So here goes:
— BEGIN EMAIL
Here's the explanation on what order you should take the exam:
https://www.cpaexamclub.com/profiles/blogs/what-order-to-take-the-cpa-exam-in-and-why
I used the following:
Yaeger CPA – Videos
Wiley Text Book (comes with Yaeger CPA)
Wiley Test Bank (comes with Yaeger CPA) – but it's now called Wiley Excel CPA Test Bank
Ninja Flashcards
Ninja Audio
Gleim Simulations
My Process:
(1) Listen to all videos before doing MCQs
(2) Take notes while listening to videos
(3) When videos are done, merge your notes with Ninja Notes
(4) While merging notes, also start reviewing flashcards – make sure you get through all of them. Continue doing flashcards everyday as you do MCQs – all the way until the last week of study.
(5) Do homework questions assigned by Yaeger videos out of the Wiley Textbook – make sure you read explanations at the end of the chapter to understand each answer (even if you got the question right – b/c reading why the others are wrong will help you as well)
(6) Do Wiley Test Bank MCQs – 30 MCQs at a time – select all chapters
(7) Review answer choices and why you got them wrong
(8) While doing MC
(9) Do Gleim simulations – at the end, print off answer choices and review each page to make sure you understand – then redo again to see if you get a better score
(10) Review all – make sure to add to your notes anytime you learn something new during your MCQ reviews/ sim reviews
(11) Go to https://www.another71.com/ to get tips from others that are also studying for your section
Honestly, all I did was read Jeff's suggestions in the first few pages of the Ninja Notes and google the rest, and read the blog.
— END EMAIL
Does that help?

KemyParticipantI think adding the Gleim Simulations really helped me with FAR and AUD (though I don't know how I did on AUD yet). Their SIMs are harder than WTB – but more comparable to the actual exam. I really felt it prepared me so that I wasn't shocked on test day. But I didn't purchase their MCQs, I read somewhere that their MCQs are unnecessarily difficult and tends to test more obscure questions. I did try their MCQs and would concur with that comment.
In addition, Jeff's flashcards are incredible. It's one thing to rewrite his notes – it's another to review flashcards based on the notes everyday. So this is a bit nerdy, but I bought a mini white board that I carry around. I log into the Brainscape website (https://www.brainscape.com/library ) that Jeff recommends if you're using an IPhone/IPad and I actually write the answers to each flashcard question down. I actually prefer this over rewriting the notes. And I do this pretty much everyday for the last two to three weeks before the exam. Lol, your brain won't be able to resist remembering the material.

KemyParticipantNo problem! Gosh, I wish I had zoned in on one person to ask all my questions when I started studying. I just did alot of googling and searching this blog. I'm glad to share all that I've learned. It's not like I came up with all this on my own!
FAR took me like 3 – 4 weeks to go through the videos. THAT was brutal.
AUD took me one week for the videos.
I plan to do REG videos in Weeks 1 – 3, do the Homework and start flashcards in Week 4, do MCQs in the WTB along with flashcards in Week 5-6, do Gleim Sims, MCQs and flashcards in Week 6-7 and review Week 8. That's the plan for now… we'll see how that works out. I hate TAX – so this will probably be a tougher section for me.

TargetCPAParticipant@ kemy,
Wowww!!! You are planning to finish videos in 3weeks for REG. You are so fast in watching lectures and taking notes.
Compared with FAR, REG is going to be easy for you. Don't worry about tax content. It is very practical as we are doing our own 1040 return. FAR is the beast from my perspective.
Good luck for your REG start Kemy.

KemyParticipantOh – I should disclaimer that I currently have no life. No spouse/kids – only work and a roomie who's also working and in school. So I have plenty of time on my hands to study like 24/7. which is what the CPA has reduced me to. Can't wait to live again. But until then, I wanted to mention that Phil's lectures for REG are not so bad after all. I just sat through the first hour and it was NOT un-enjoyable! I take back my comments above – I'll just stick with the Yaeger review.

TargetCPAParticipantZinco Corp. was a calendar-year S corporation. Zinco’s S status terminated on April 1, 2012, when Case Corp. became a shareholder. During 2012 (366-day calendar year), Zinco had nonseparately computed income of $311,100. If no election was made by Zinco, what amount of the income, if any, was allocated to the S short year for 2012?
$78,200
$77,350
$76,500
