I’ve had a few requests for April/May Study Groups…March will be here before you know it.

In order to take an early April exam, you should begin studying…now. 🙂

I plan on taking it in mid-April. It's been two year since I've looked at the material, and so much of the ancillary material back in the 2011 book is no longer considered ancillary (which I skipped back when I first took it). I've decided to finish the lectures for R6-R8 all at once then go back and read through the book and do the MCQs. I have a decent grasp of the tax material though.

I have 4 tries to pass this exam, but I would obviously love to get this over with as soon as possible.

    AUD - 68, 77
    REG - 84* (Expired)
    FAR - 83
    BEC - 74, 74, 72, 72, 84

Has anyone been having a hard time remembering all the rules for individual taxation? I am using gleim and when doing the practice questions, they expect me to remember the 2013 threshold which is different for every credit or deduction. I feel overwhelmed. Any suggestions on how i should approach this?

    FAR - 87 (11/3/2013)
    BEC - 81 (12/6/2013)
REG - 87 (8/11/2014) Impact of work on my goals...still passed on first try... HAPPY! HAPPY!
AUD - 86 (2/28/2015) (More impact of work arg)

I am having trouble remembering the individual taxation rules as well. For some reason I'm better at equations. Anyway I'm just trying to re-read every part of my Becker book and see if it eventually sticks.

My biggest problem right now is work. My boss is somewhat inconsiderate and comes in late, when I arrive on time and expects me to work late with him. I've been making a stand lately and the owners of the company are on my side. Still, it doesn't make up for a great work environment.

Is there a way to reply & quote an individual post?

Hey everyone, I have a question that continues to trouble me. I asked it before (low part of page one of this thread) with no response. Will 2012 or 2013 be test in April 2014?I received a notification from Becker stating that 2012 was testable until May. That didn't make sense to me. I read in another thread that 2013 laws were being tested. The CSOs provide no information and there is nothing on the AICPA website about what year will be tested during each quarter (kind of sad).

If anyone can provide the year, with a basis for why you believe it is that year, I would GREATLY appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

I may have answered my own question. Per Becker: We have updated the entire Regulation course to reflect 2013 tax law, which is testable through May 30, 2014.

I will assume it is 2013 laws being tested in Q2. Does this align with your understanding?
