R1 and R2 (individual tax) were not bad at all. Not looking forward to corporate and partnership tax though.

    @Smp73, Please don't cry, no!

I'm so with you on the gym/workout issue. That's probably the main thing that keeps me going, other than strong support from my immediate family (& lack of such or any understanding from my distant relatives; amazingly my mother-in-law is in supporting camp). That and the overall desire to succeed. This is not the first time and not the worse I've heard, but it still stings for being totally unfair and undeserved since most of them do flock to me when in need and I used to be generous with my help. Looks like it is time to revaluate it.

I can put my initials under every word in your sentence: “Seriously….I am doing what I need to do, to stay sane, study and hopefully pass this thing and boy if I want to go to they gym I will!”

We have to do what we have to do, I believe that real personal strength is in sheer perseverance both for this exam and life overall!

Couldn't agree with you more Seattle! I called my mom on my way home today and just lost it. I think I needed to acknowledge the fear of failure/nerves AND hit the gym in order to refocus. I feel worlds better now. Just knocked out a bunch of MC questions and feel really confident about them. 🙂 Even feel much better about my “weaker” areas which is encouraging. I think if I force myself to slow down come test day (I am a naturally fast test taker – finished AUD in just over an hour) that I will be fine for REG.

I know I have not taken it yet but Thanks to everyone here for the encouragement/motivation/understanding. It has kept me going!

Here is my first post on this site.

I started out with BEC and got robbed on Audit. I don't get how I felt better about Audit than BEC smh. I got Regulation on May 13 and I am scared because it seems like the test that everyone hates. Personally, I feel like Financial is going to be my struggle. Its so much information yet so little time. I actually did good on the multiple choice but took too long on it and left like 4 sims blank smh. That test is vicious. Joined the group because I was feeling weak after hitting my first test and then going 0-2. Back to the dungeon of study. PEACE!

    BEC: 77!

    AUD: 73 (Thats some bull)

    FAR: 67

REG: 5/13/2013 (I am scared lol)

    Welcome anellis7!

You will find a good support group here. I put all zeros in 4 sims on my first FAR exam too! And got a 73 on my first AUD exam. So, don't you worry. The passing scores are very attainable.

    HELLO REG FAMILY!!!!!

I have lost 3 lbs!!! 🙂 and studied not enough 🙁 I've gone through videos and took my first shot at MCQ's tonight. Averaging 50% *o* !!!

I'm not too worried though. I haven't rewritten all of my NINJA notes yet. And still have a month to get that average up to the 80s. I have faith it will happen.

    Weight down, scores up.

@Seattle – Hey buddy!!!! Thanks for sharing the lack of support you received from the other fam. I'm like you, I let the haterzzzzz motivate me.

smp, lsnyc – I'm glad I'm not the only one working on my fitness 🙂 Hope your leg is feeling better smp. And remember on test day.. slow down and RTFQ 🙂

smp – I totally missed your whole gym rant until now! “friend” is right.

Look, you don't owe an explanation to anyone. But, if someone called me out like that I would say something to the effect of:

I continue to workout because it relieves stress, anxiety, and the blood flow helps the brain retain information. I make random status updates to FB to let those that care about me know, I'm alive and well, even though I'm out of touch. If that bothers you, or you can't support my dedication to better myself, fuck you. Defriend me and get back to your self-absorbed life. I've got too much shit to do, I can't be concerned with your pettiness. Peace.

In my effort to avoid that nonsense and really focus. I deactivated FB a few months ago. It's really empowering.

Haters gonna hate. You just have to stay focused. 1 more week and you will be DONE!!!!!

    Welcome Anellis7!

Can I vent, don't answer that i am going to anyway…. WHY does every question in the section go something like this

Person A, sold item Y to person B who sold item X to person C for a note but person C knew about person A but not person D…..OMG I have to make a flow chart just to know what the hell they are asking!

    A - 61, 91!!
    B - 78!
    F - 76!!!
    R - 71, 73, 74, 69, 77!!!!

    Finally done!

    Hi guys again!

MCKLT, any pound lost is great! I dunno how about you guys, but i'm normally on a slender side unless something like this cpa prep keeps me immobilized for hours and I grew a miniature belly, not kidding. One day my leg under the knee had hurt and I got really scared that all of this sitting might have caused a blood-clot but thankfully, it went away few days later, wheew!

About haters. I just don't get them, seriously. Whose business that I study or where I work or where I dream to work?! But I find that in reality many of the distant relatives start showing & expressing their displeasure at my progress. There is a seemingly serious effort to constantly put me down. Nothing is good, it seems that if I were of questionable character or loser it might be a comforting thing to numerous people. One thing is great that they are not in the same location as I live, otherwise this picking on me would be on ongoing basis. There could be jealousy issue but that is not the entire explanation. People often even relatives are mean for no clear reason. This is why I mentally anguish for a day or two (my limit is a week) and even write-out this frustration on forum, and then, go back to my plan following a schedule to achieve certain things.

Thank you for being here, for support and sharing. Even strong silent types do break down and need support, let alone us overworked and plain tired. Wishing all success with the upcoming testing!

    @MCLKT: Ain't that the truth.

@Lsync: This sounds incredibly cheesy, but I'm a huge gamer. So when I come across wordy questions that have a lot of interactions with random people with random names I tend to replace them with video game characters which help make the question, for some reason, make much more sense.

    Using your example…

“Mario sold Mushrooms to Luigi who sold Stars to Peach for a note (2 way transaction), but Peach knew about Mario but not Bowser.” (LOL)

Somehow, the imagery of this situation makes it much easier for me to understand what is actually taking place. Another idea is to always place yourself in the scenario.

    FAR: 50, 76!
REG: 74... (ouch baby, very ouch), 76!
    AUD: 65, 91!?
    BEC: 80! Aaaand doneskies!

    May 2012 to August 2013. Can't believe it's over.

Ahh…Reading all the posts since my rant is why I love A71!

MCLKT: Congrats! Losing weight and studying is tough (trust me I know). You should be so proud of yourself! 🙂

LSNYC: I actually have been known to draw a flow chart when I am studying for questions like that…if not I tend to make a stupid mistake. Nice to know I am not the only one who had the flow chart in mind. Silly questoions.

I even might take my dogs for a hike after work tonight (gasp…how DARE I) before I go “under” for the *last* power weekend of my life!

    Happy Friday!

You guys posts crack me up! They're also a huge motivation. But alas i only have 21/2 more days with you all and then it will be time for me to pass REG and move on to studying AUD. Going to make htis a Power Review weekend (already found places for my child to go Sat & Sun) so I can be fully prepared to gain the two points I missed and then some.

I haven't had any haters yet although my mom told me i was becoming a BORE because i said i couldn't go to a couple of events with her and my sister, but i gotta study. But overall my friends and family have been very supportive of me. But I know if i did have a friend or relative who was saying really mean things to me i would cut them loose. Ain't nobody got time for that!

LSNYC: I make myself get a certain amount done before I go to the gym so its like a reward! That way I get the best of both worlds!
