I saw a thread like this for 2018, so I’m starting a new one for 2019.

Here’s where I’m at so far:

1/7/19 — mailed in full application form along with check, except for work experience certificate
1/9/19 – delivered to CBA (based on UPS tracking #)
as of now – check not cashed yet
Heard the CBA is very slow – let’s see how long it will take…

4.02.19 Application received per USPS tracking

I have not done the live scan yet as the live scan form link on the CBA was not working. When I e-mailed CBA licensinginfo, they said they will send the live scan form after they receive my application due to some new fBI regulations they are not able to provide it ahead of time. I see a lot of the CA applicants are already doing the live scan, is there anyway I can do it now ahead of time to expedite the process?

Today 4/8/19 email from CBA that they have received my application and I need to do a live scan. I did this already so I have emailed it over to them – I thought I had put it in with my app but I guess I did not. Next step is for them to review application and documents 🙂

Called CBA today to verify that my check made it to their office. They received it on the 10th. The time frame she provided is 4-6 weeks for issuance of a license number and an additional 2-4 weeks for the actual certificate…………..the wait….is killing me………….

IF they cashed my check, is it safe to assume that they have all the requirements? They cashed my check this week, but I have not received an e-mail from them yet accept for the receipt of application.

Just FYI, if you call the CBA, some people will be more helpful than others. I submitted my initial licensing fee last month, certified mail, they received it March 18th. I called March 28, the person told me that my check was “cashiered” on March 19th. Additionally, she told me that the person who processes them goes through by cashiered date (makes sense), AND that on that day (Mar 28) the person was working on March 4th cashiered dates. (It did sound like it's just ONE person doing this.)
I waited a few weeks, called back two days ago, the 16th, and asked where my app was. New lady told me she didn't know, and when I asked what cashiered date they were on… she said she didn't have access to that info.
I'll let y'all know when I get my email, I know the wait sucks.
