Hi all,

Thought I would start up this thread if anyone else is sending in their CA license application around this time. I will keep it updated and hope to help anyone else going through the same process. I really hope I get my license by 12/31/13 so I can truly say I am class of 2013! Sent my paperwork in via certified mail – return receipt. Now the waiting game begins…..

So….good (not really) morning…….What a joke!!!! I came to work and found the letter from CBA in my inbox…..the one informing me that they got all my docs and will let me know the results of their review in 4-6 weeks!!! You freaking kidding me??? It took them almost 2 months to let me know they got my docs! I thought that's what the YELLOW card was for!

I know they got my work experience form sometime in December because I got a copy of it…..so I guess they don't even touch your file until they have the complete packet but seriously??? How hard is it to verify all the forms? Ugh…..so not happy!!!!!!!!!!! 🙁

I'm sorry tough_kitty. At least you probably wont get the BS letter we all did in December saying there was a massive delay. But welcome to the waiting world. I might actually call soon, because I know they reviewed my credit. Also I need to check if the lady I spoke to last time switched my application properly to the different pathway. Hoping a better story for you!!

I got the approval letter 2 days after I received the 30-day letter. So don't worry, probably yours will be similar.

What a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Since I get all my mail at work, it comes with a delay, so our office assistant just brought me another letter from CBA saying my CPA license will be approved upon receipt of the initial license fee!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 4-6 week update letter was dated Jan 11 and the approval letter was dated Jan 18!!! How weird. Each signed by a different person, so perhaps I got lucky this lady is so fast! 🙂

Almost a CPA!!!!!!!! 🙂

Well, I submitted my license fee payment in person today. CBA has a small office in a bigger, really nice, building. I was told it will take about 6 weeks to process, sometimes longer if they are busy! It makes me wonder how many people get certified in California daily….can't be that many?!?!

But at least now I can keep checking the CBA site to see if my license # is posted!

My address is my Mom's haha because I lived there when I started this long journey. So she just called me(she felt very cool being involved in telling me). I will probably changed when it is all said and done.
