    Hi all,

Thought I would start up this thread if anyone else is sending in their CA license application around this time. I will keep it updated and hope to help anyone else going through the same process. I really hope I get my license by 12/31/13 so I can truly say I am class of 2013! Sent my paperwork in via certified mail – return receipt. Now the waiting game begins…..

Rons – You and I are kind of in the same boat. I sent mine in a bit before you. I still haven't received approval. I'm hoping to hear some good news the middle of this month. From what I can tell of ToughKitty's posts, the next step might not be too bad. It looks like she dropped off payment on Friday, 1/24 and was recognized by a license number online on Friday, 1/31.

01/09/14 – Received postcard stating application was received

01/10/14 – Check cashed by CBA

01/17/14 – Received letter recognizing that I passed all 4 parts

Holy smokes! That was a long time. Congrats!

If you or any other CA candidates want to post the key dates like you've done above, I started a thread for the reference of future candidates that are in the same boat we're in now.

Thought I'd revive this thread since I finally mailed my application today (2/20)… I know it's going to be WEEKS (maybe months) before I hear anything. I guess the first thing I look for is that they deposited my check?

It's gonna be a long wait..!!

    FAR 7/3/13 - 82
    BEC 8/21/13 - 82
    AUD 10/2/13 - 92
    REG 12/3/13 - 88

Congrats sarita for getting all your documents in. I hope they process yours quickly, but just remember this is the last wait!

Sarita, it's actually not too long of a process… My dates were as follows:

December 31 – Mailed in complete application

January 13 (date card was post marked) – received yellow card saying they've received my application

February 5 (date of letter, not sure when I received it) – received letter stating my application was complete and they'd begin to review it

February 13 (date of letter, wasn't received until 2/19) – received letter stating that my application was approved.

I mailed in my check yesterday and am hoping based on what I read in another thread that I'll have a license number online by next Friday. About 8 weeks turnaround, not too bad.

Sent my application 2/20. Saw that they cashed my check 3/5, but still haven't received a postcard saying they received my app.

Not sure if they are going to send it to my house or work..

    Hiya,

So finally I can take an interest in this thread šŸ™‚

If I understand this correctly, once you have passed all four parts of the CPA exam we get a letter after 30 days saying we passed all for parts?

I won't be doing my license just yet as I wasn't able to beat the clock and will be going back to College to make up the credits I have missed.

Although I a told to send in the application just so they can reject me and provide a detailed list of things I am missing.

Now I am wondering should I still do the Ethics and Live scan even though I know I will have to do it again anyway after completing the courses I need.

I did a check between that “mandatory courses they want IE the 78” with what I have and I have all of those.

Meaning my current credits cover all of the following with 16 in excess.

    1. 24 Accounting courses

    2. 24 Business related courses

    3. 20 Additional courses

    4. 10 Courses on Ethics etc

Therefore, my balance is part of the “general credits” and it can be I guess in any other subject. But I want to make 100% sure that is the case.
